Dear Laurel,

I'm being increasingly accused that I'm "a Que or Queri alt". These suspicions have led in the past to months of trolling and accusations of being a Queri alt or a female impersonator.
It appears to me that the situation is snowballing and getting worse.

I'm not intending to portray myself in a better light as I'm responsible for many bad behaviors, too.
But I do worry about being included in the long-term conflicts of some GB long-term political posters. The chronicity, intensity and personal nature of such conflicts worries me.

Would it be possible -with Que's accord, of course- for you to post/or send me a private email with a simple statement that our IP addresses indicate that Que and myself are posting from two entirely different continents?
Without revealing our locations, since I value my privacy.

Some of the things that are going on in this forum are just trolling or bad behavior (and geeze, I'm so guilty of that too).

For the record, I have never made any claims about Aella_ being an alt of any other GBer, and I'm not going to do that now. Since we're talking about someone who is more an irritant than truly malicious, it just doesn't interest me much aside from the usual thrill we all get from alt hunts.

But I did take note of the use of "geeze" in the above post. It's not an expression everyone uses, and not a common spelling either (I usually spell it with a J --given that it's a known euphemism for Jesus -- and no e at the end).

So if someone was of the opinion Aella_ was an alt, one might check and see who on the GB commonly uses "geeze."

This won't prove anything. But I did find it interesting.

My explanation might seem a bit silly. Nevertheless:

I often copy or adopt other GB posters' words and expressions (slang or classical english --- it's something that non-english speakers who are rel. insecure about their skills in this area, do).
I never used such expression before joining the forum. I used "geez" but I saw that another user spelled it "geeze" so, without checking the dictionary, I simply took it on board. (Sounds silly, I know)
