The Obama administration confirmed for the first time on Friday that Hillary Clinton’s unsecured home server contained some of the US government’s most closely guarded secrets, censoring 22 emails with material demanding one of the highest levels of classification. The State Department will release its next batch of emails from Clinton’s time as secretary of state later Friday. But the Associated Press has learned seven email chains are being withheld in full because they contain information deemed to be “top secret”.

The 37 pages include messages recently described by a key intelligence official as concerning so-called “special access programs” – a highly restricted subset of classified material that could point to confidential sources or clandestine programs such as drone strikes or government eavesdropping.

1. Whether classified information is marked or not...doesn't matter. Information is classified by virtue of what it contains...not whether it's marked or not.

Every bit of classified info I ever saw was marked as such.....Hell most the time we had to sign EXTRA non-disclosure agreements on issues just so they could crucify us should anything leak. Sensitive info doesn't make it out of an agency without a security classification. And that's the Army I can't imagine the State Dept. being so sloppy.

Oh, I don't know. Today's events are quite a challenge to her. I get the distinct impression that Obama would like Biden to get into the race. Even the compliment he gave her the other day said that only a vice president would be better prepared to be president than she is--which, in her case, isn't really true, I think. She's held more positions than Biden has, and being Bill's sidekick in the White House was worth more in terms of policy inclusion than being vice president, I think.

The DOD has been the most careful, with NSA going to the "destroy before reading and then commit suicide" ridiculous lengths. The released emails already indicate Hillary instructed her staff to remove the classification markings and send the information via fax. That information is still classified/sensitive/secret, regardless if the markings have been removed or not.

Well sure it is if it's been classified already. But unless they can prove that she's good to go because if an Intel agency sends her shit without marking it it's not her fault it's the agencies.

Raw data (which the Secretary of State would have access to) from human intelligence such as phone calls, emails, faxes..may not have been marked with a classification level, but still be classified. Example: The video from the Bin Laden raid, or transcripts from that same operation. Those are still classified...even if they're not marked or haven't been marked yet.

That Bin Laden video was marked classified the second it left rifle/helmet cam I promise you 110% beyond a shadow of a doubt that data did not leave the USN without being secured first.

The sensitivity of the information determines whether it's classified...not the markings.

It didn't work that way in the Army so I'm calling bullshit that's how it works in the rest of the government.

If an intelligence agency doesn't securely transfer info to the sec of state that's not the sec of states problem...that's an agency problem. Now if she gets it properly then exposes it because dumbass THEN it's on her.

You can't expect people to just assume something is classified and I've never seen any government entity work like that.

"The Right"...doesn't have the authority to charge her with anything. Any charges would come from the FBI and referred to the Justice Department. Also...this information just came to light a few months ago....not years ago.
