thanks, I am going to try it. It's probably about 4 or 5 feet because of the plow. I don't have lots of room to get momentum. I hope it works.

Good luck. As I was trudging through the nabe streets coming home last night, it was rare to not see sidewalks and parked cars buried under snowbanks. Needless to say, there's been non-stop shoveling sounds going on outside since six a.m. :D

A whole lotta people are doing some digging out today and not that enjoyable kinda digging out! ;)

I don't even have a shovel! I went out and borrowed the neighbors and did get my tires out. I asked the neighbor if he thought I could go over the snow mountain and he said no, but I am going to try anyway.

Be safe! I hope it works. I'd be way too chicken to give it a go.

My 2d: I'd only try if you have a manual transmission. You can't really rock with an automatic.

I just watched a young man take the shovel out of the hands of a little lady with gray hair. I am so happy to watch.

Thanks! I still haven't tried it yet, but I have had my Jeep out there running for a while now.

It is a manual transmission and I am going to try and rock it. I have been watching videos to see how to do it, apparently if I put it in 4L I might be able to do it.

I had a Jeep Grand Cherokee and I was able to get through a 3 foot snow bank without any trouble. Hope you make it out!

I have an old Toyota Land Cruiser for such occasions...that thing is a tank.

Sweepster....start in second gear instead of first.... 4 high will probably be enough.

That was back when getting $5 actually meant something! :D

I don't know what young'uns are charging nowadays, but with that shit outside today, I wouldn't be selling short. ;)

A few years back when we had the big Christmas snow (2009 or '10), they were charging $40 to dig out a car in the Bronx. But it wasn't kids, it was full grown dudes.

I can rock an automatic, I am pretty good at getting cars unstuck and up icy hills.

I am not very fond of glare ice though.

That's enterprising for ya. :D

I think that sort of thing works better with houses featuring actual driveways, most of which can be found in the Bronx and Queens. Typical Brooklyn & Manhattan streets/sidewalks with stacked apartments or brownstones or row houses, you can't tell whose car belongs to which place or building in order to dig anything out of.

Gotta bounce in a bit. Looked outside, lots of cars are still banked under. It's funny seeing cars under mountains of snow next to cleared-out spaces dug by the owners who got out earlier this morning.

I thought maybe Laurel cut a deal with Ojos/eyer/AllAteDipshit where she'd stop posting if he would, sort of the perfect sacrifice if you know what I mean.

Too much to hope for I guess. Ojos/eyer/AllAteDipshit returns.

I will pay top dollar for kids or grown dudes. I'm totally fucked here.

Reminds me of the way Hanns Schmidt had everyone in a twist.

In the end, Hanns was the work of two popular GB regulars.

Today, Dolf dropped in.... And she has a history of wacky annoying alts when she "disappears"....Alexandraaaah did the same thing here as well.

Just sayin... Eyer is probably someone you "like" on the GB.

And that imho is the real insult to Laurel.

Yup, that is how mine was. I could drive it thru a brick wall. Honestly, it was great in blizzard conditions. Never had an issue.
Sadly, it died at 278,000 MILES! I wish I had fixed it.
