Um, smart guy, I think we need a balance. Clearly the plunge in prices can and is already starting to hurt the US and world economy.
In our efforts to destroy Russia geopolitically (and that's what this is really all about), we are unwittingly (or otherwise) beginning to harm our own economy and endanger the world economy. We are the ones who are putting the pressure on the Saudis to keep on pumpin as a way to harm Russia and its effort to be a major world power. Its sick and hopefully President Trump will stop this.

State ownership isn't always bad. If the state allows an independent commission to run a state owned enterprise on a for profit basis, without political interference, it can add to the government coffers and taxes on the people can be reduced.
Why shouldn't government earn its keep by actually engaging in profitable enterprise rather than just being a giant leech sucking money from us?

Its amazing to me there are still people who think that ridiculous disaster of a so-called President "has done a good job." Fortunately he will be out of there in 13 months and we can all get on with our lives again and forget these 8 years of absurdity once and for all.

Quite frankly who gives a fuck who did what to who and for what ever reason.
There are aa hell of a lot of people invested in the stock marker and right now with blood in the streets they can be broken down into two groupes. Those who are panicking and selling and those who are saying "Hey look Ma, Wall street is having a sale" and are wading through the blood and picking up good stocks at bargain prices.
