Dear Feminist,

If you are going to preach about #YesAllWomen that is fine. If you feel that you deserve respect regardless of your gender, you are right. But if you feel the need to spew hatred, hatred just as bad as the men you’re condemning, I have absolutely no use for you as a human being. Because just like the vast majority of women have had to deal with some pretty screwed up things from men, the vast majority of men have dealt with just as much from us ladies. So for once, can we just preach that everyone needs to stop treating everyone else badly, instead of whining because someone dared make us follow a dresscode once, or because some guy we didn’t deem attractive enough dared compliment how we look. Those things are not oppression, I’m sorry. If you disagree, feel free to go visit a country where women are actually oppressed. If you don’t develop a deep respect for how amazing our society is, there is a bigger issue you need to take up with a psychologist. And I have something else to say about this, saying that we should deal with men, even gross, catcalling jerks, violently, is perpetuating your reputation as man hating “feminazis” and those of us who actually just want equal treatment for women are becoming ashamed to associate with you.

P.S. Yes, I am a woman. Yes, I believe in equality. No, I do not define as feminist, because the only people who have ever tried to shove an idea down my throat of how a woman should act were feminists. With all due respect, fuck off, permanently.

As for whether 72 million is a shrinking or growing number, MOST Americans actually believe in gender equality. That means a huge growth from the days of yesteryear when women had to actually fight for the right to vote and for the right to use contraception.

The problem you keep missing is that more than 200 million Americans want gender equality but 328 million out of 400 million Americans have decoupled gender equality from FEMINISM. In other words they see you as a buncha nutters. And as you'll rush to point out, they also don't support MRAs, so you can't even blame MRAs for your movement's bad reputation. You caused this yourself.
