Yesterday, I was at Trump Hotel in Vegas

I didn't stay there but went in it when I was there a few years ago. I agree, it wasn't all that. Standard Vegas hotel from what I saw. Nothing that would make me want to pay to stay there.

I don't think it has any sort of theme (haven't actually been in it). That's the trend now in Vegas, much to my consternation. I can't necessarily blame Trump, Steve Wynn was the one who started that trend (the Bellagio is great, but he's fallen badly since then).

If I got the chance to question Trump, I would ask him why they aren't bulding theme casinos anymore. He used to build themes, like the Taj Mahal.

All the new casinos are themeless crap.

I stick mostly to mid-strip, Paris, Venetian, Flamingo, Jimmy Buffet's, Casino Royale, and Bellagio, and off strip at the Orleans and Sam's Town.

So many people go to Vegas to see the themes and free attractions like the Bellagio garden. If they just keep building boring themeless places, more people will just go to Indian casinos. Why drive all the way to Vegas for themeless casinos when you can get that a lot closer and sleep in your own bed at night.

They are relying on stupid young millennials to come and waste money they don't have on overpriced rooms and overpriced nightclubs but I longterm I think its a poor business model if they drive away the kitsch seeking middle American masses that Vegas made its reputation on.

Whaaaaaaat? No Casino?

I need to find you why and which comissioner he pissed off.

I haven't been to Vegas since the late '90s.

It's true that no one has to go to Vegas just to gamble anymore, but I doubt anyone has ever said "Blackjack is OK, but what's really cool is blackjack in a cheesy Roman temple. Let's hop on a plane and go to Caesar's."

Vegas is still Vegas because it's an epicenter for entertainment of all kinds. Hell, half the people who visit provide free entertainment just by their presence. And the climate is a bonus too, if you live where I do.

Trump Hotel in Vegas has no casino.

Yep. It's also off the strip. It's where the strip would have been if it didn't veer off half way. It's a weird house, seems to be built and placed only so that you see TRUMP in big shiny letters when you enter the strip from the south.

Anyway, ol' Vegas downtown is where the fun is at.

Leave Bruce out of this. He's unaffiliated.

Of course you say that now. You used him up like a log roll, tipped him a roll of pennies, and now he's nothing to you.

squirrel Pig.

Hey you're the one who tried to associate him with Trump. So who is the monster here, really?

And it was dimes dammit.
