In another thread the discussion is about the "Oregon Standoff." So related to that.

For some time now the federal government has been hell bent for leather to run the small rancher out of business. Why?

Maybe because cows produce copious quantities of methane, methane is a green house gas, and God knows we're all going to roast soon.

Soooooo, drive the ranchers out of business. Les beef, the higher the prices, the higher the prices, the less beef consumed as well as far fewer farts to deal with. You have to admit, it does fit the governments, at least the current administrations agenda.

On a side note I'd like to see the minimum wage raised to $25/hr. Of course it would put every fast food eatery, and most other eateries, out of business overnight. The pieces of shit that work in them, and think serving fries is a career, would be out of work. But the price of food at the grocery store would drop dramatically so their food stamps would go a lot further.

Quoted for the train wreck effect.

( had to add that as someone snuck in before I hit enter and made my case:)

You do understand that most people here do not understand veiled sarcasm?

But in a serious note review the BLM budget. Amazing how they take so much land under environmental concerns while so much of their budget comes from coal/oil/gas/mining..

Makes you wonder about the possible mineral/ and or oil that could be found on the Hammonds land.....

Most people are functionally psychotic, able to brush their teeth and wipe their ass, but unable to make a living doing anything useful. Unicorns graze in their heads, and the skies are not cloudy all day.

I blame the hyper-environmentalism of several groups of people from the global warmists to the city dweller who sees nothing but pollution on a daily basis. The original sin was a controlled burn, necessary for the health of the range ecology. This angers the radical environmentalist who likes his wilderness untouched and virgin doing anything in their power to prevent any and all fires so that when does finally occur, it is not a cleansing, but a catastrophe...

I also think the government has gone mad with the idea of control for the sake of control. Environmentalism may only be the preferred vehicle.

Just like Bundy Ranch, the Hammonds’ Ranch is Valuable to the BLM – Here’s just how Valuable

During the Bundy Ranch Siege of 2014, it was discovered the various connections of the Bureau of Land Management to Agenda 21. It was also uncovered that US Senator Harry Reid (D-NV) was also connected in that siege to a Chinese energy deal. In the process, Reid called patriots who stood against federal overreach “domestic terrorists” and added that if those people were patriots, “we’re in big trouble.” Indeed, Reid and company are in big trouble because with independent media surpassing even the media outlets that are supposed to be alternative and against the mainstream, they are being exposed for the corrupt, hypocritical lawless thugs they are. This is now the case concerning the Hammond’s ranch in Oregon, which sits on precious metals, minerals, uranium and other deposits that the criminal BLM desperately wants.

Kurt Nimmo reports the following:

A US Geological Survey Bulletin (1740-B) indicates there is a high potential for silver, gold, copper, mercury, uranium and molybdenum (a refractory metallic element used principally as an alloying agent in steel) and other resources in the area. There is also a moderate estimate for natural gas and oil.

The feds want to drive ranchers and private property owners off the land because on patented land (an exclusive private property land grant), which has passed into private ownership, a mining interest does not need to lease land or file a plan or notice with the federal government.

In regard to oil, the BLM “does not tell you that its share of total oil production has dropped dramatically due to substantial increases in oil production on private and state lands that are not subject to the onerous regulations and permitting delays of the federal government,” notes the Institute for Energy Research.

The Hammonds and other private property owners stand in the way of total federal monopolization of natural resources and that is why in part we are witnessing an unprecedented land grab in the West.

Intellihub adds the following videos regarding these resources:

According to the Property Rights Alliance, “Much of the land targeted for government takeover holds great oil and natural gas resources which could provide jobs in the energy industry and a flow of resources from our own American supply. Once those lands become ‘monuments’, access to those natural resources is limited and in the hands of the federal government.”

“The government offers little explanation for the land-grab frenzy, but there are plenty of reasons to oppose it,” the PRA added. “First and foremost, it is unconstitutional for the government to simply take land from states without compensation. Second, government-controlled land takes away opportunities for development, particularly when it comes to accessing much needed resources. The land designated as ‘monument’ space could have created dozens of employment opportunities—opportunities which will go wasted under the thumb of the federal government.”

Just like the value of the land of the Bundy Ranch, the Hammonds, along with other ranchers across several states is valuable to the very people who are attempting to get their hands on that land.

Ammon Bundy was exactly right when he pointed out the federal overreach and the crooked schemes of federal agencies and judges in their attempt to grab land that is constitutionally not theirs.

I don't know... at the rate this thread is going, I don't know if I'll want to read "Conspiracy Theory #2".

This thread just doesn't have a good story arc, and the plot is full of holes. Also, the characters are definitely not likable.

If it weren't for Adre's expertise on the subject, I would have never had known the name of any wine in a box...

:D

Fawkin' lib loon lushes!

For some time now the federal government has been hell bent for leather to run the small rancher out of business. Why?

Maybe because they're a bunch of racists arsonists?

Also wouldn't going after Smithfield, Cargill, Tyson, or any of the big meat companies make more sense to reduce greenhouse effects?

Your theory is almost as fucking stupid as you are, almost.

This methane issue would be a non-issue if a few engineered controls were placed on the cattle. Autonomous methane and solids collectors could be fitted to each cow's anus. The individual hardware and storage packages would be on a small cart that's fitted behind the cow. The separation package would be methane powered thereby converting the methane to CO2 and reducing it's global warming potential by 25 times. The control system would be solar powered (of course) with a Tesla battery back-up. Instead of littering the land with the solids, the solids could be managed and used for political or agricultural purposes. Surely, the leaner beef from this methane managed cow would fetch a higher price at Whole Foods so, it's a total win-win!

I'm too busy to mess with this now, but any of you can sit down and write out a grant request using this simple plan. I'm sure that the current administration will look upon it favorably and you'll be responsible for changing the whole beef industry for the better of the environment.

I was thinking more along the lines of a wind powered spark generator.

Hook it on the cows tail and every time the cow farts the wind turns the propeller generating a spark and instantly burning the methane gas at the source

We could call it Flaming arseholes

But, how do we get the solids to DC where they belong?

Brilliant!!!! A new government mandated market. And just think of the fines generated from no, or faulty, anus apparatuses? The Federal Anus Police will be on the edge of every pasture with their $8,000, taxpayer purchased, Zeiss binoculars.
