Cats.. Colds.. Conundrums..

Sneezing in cats sometimes indicates a heart problem. But usually it's an upper respiratory infection. Break out the humidifier and if he stops eating or drinking he probably needs meds.
 
Cats get upper and lower respiratory infections. This is especially common in kittens. A vet can prescribe antibiotics if it appears to be a bacterial infection. If it's a virus, it's treated like a cold in a human.
 
Isn't a persistant cold also an indicator of feline AIDS?
Get to a vet and be sure.
 
Just got off the phone with the vet. His thoughts are an upper respiratory infection as you've suggested.

Cats.. My dog never gets sick. He just occasionally gets in the garbage and eats a few quarts of grease and shits all over the floor next to the back door... but that isn't very often.
 
My Storm had that when I brought my kittens home. It was just a little kitty cold. Watch out for kitty buggers flying your way.

Also, I am half way around the world. No reports of cat AIDS.

i never fancied myself a dog person, but i am going to get a puppy instead a kitten! go figure.
 
He's such a beautiful kitty! I would prescribe lots of petting, chin scratchies, and nuzzling! :heart:

Well, the first day we brought him home he snuggled up in my arms and stayed there for hours. I knew i was hooked when I had everyone doing things for me....

cause you know.. I couldn't get up..

I'd disturb the cat..

my cat has the dogs trained. i suspect it shall be the same when the pup arrives.
