Ya, I'm up late (it's 10:30 here) so I must be drunk. As if that ever made a difference to anyone.

Another night of attention seekers, I suppose I've joined that crowd as well.

I was thinking of Ruby, so young. Putting up decorations and lightening struck. And that led to thoughts of all that have passed before. So many that were far too young.

I think back on my life and wonder why I still live, or not in prison for 'terrorist' activities. Karma? Bidin' brought that up before. It's something that only happens to others you think have done you wrong. Funny how that works. It forestalls revenge...fuck that. I got banned twice, but it all worked out in the end, didn't it enemies mine?

I can do "Leisure Suit Larry" with the best of them when I'm motivated. But I'm less inclined as the years pass. How many variations of the same joke can you listen to before you're bored? 99% of what passes for original is just a regurgitation of what came before. The setup changes, but the punchline is the same.

Why am I still here? Every once in a while a light shines through. an unfettered mind. A fearless mind not dragged down by paranoia or appearances. An endangered species.

But LIt is what it is..................Desolation Row.

In reading through LIT and other places, I have often thought how the epiphanies of each generation are old news to the ones who came before.

recently, some of us older folks pitched in to help out a co worker who was having a rough time. The young ones, the ones that have never had life pop up and kick the shit out of them, were no where to be found. I more or less decided age and hardship build character and compassion (if there's any there to start with).

Life is what it is. For some it is way too short and others get a long innings.

Ruby shone bright and I bet so many in her real life were warmed by her presence. It is sad though.

I never interacted directly with ruby, but thoroughly enjoyed watching her on the board. I remember learning of that contraption called a symbian? oh how was it spelt...anyway...my previously sheltered eyes were wide with wonder over that one. That, her make up tips, and her happy-go-lucky demeanor on the board made her a magnet to others.

Only you would bring the sybian up. *chuckle*

Brighten up, Ish. Do as I say, no fussin'.

We all write our own script. One day you and I will meet and talk about the food in Nachitoches, or how Bourbon Street has gone to shit. How a properly used finger(s), and speech, can prepare the room for a night of delight, not to mention the scent of a woman.

No one wants used sex toys!

I don't want to USE it for the love of all that's prudish and proper! I just want to turn it on and be amazed how someone come to fit a dildo on an evinrude and make money of'n it!

BZZZzzzz! Flip the script, Chachi. Forget Bourbon street, if we must ramble about the the quarters then I suggest we do it at Coops on Decatur, the Crawfish and Tasso is supposed to be the mad note. And you can properly use those delightful fingers on the Creamavera (a word that I wish I had invented). I was just in NOLA over Christmas and I didn't even grab up armloads of boudin before coming back to the ATX. Shameful.

Indeed, you too are becoming jaded.

LMAO Cheaper than a horse. :D

As long as the subject has come up. Vat was gifted with his own horse at the age of 12. He learned to ride early. Western or hunt seat equitation. Soon enough he was taking 4' jumps, bareback, seated backwards. So we put him on our Arabians taking 6' jumps. And he and the one Arabian could do that with him seated backwards, and bareback.

Me? I can ride well. Been on more than one basket case and kept my seat. I've just come to the conclusion that owning a stable of horses is like owning a bunch of high maintenance automobiles, or big sailboats. If you aren't in the financial position to call down to the stable and say, "Saddle my horse." You can't afford a horse.
