I submitted my first story four or five days ago and nothing has happened. It hasn't appeared in New Stories and shows as pending still.

If I have done something wrong I would like to know - I would be happy to put it right.

I'm no expert, but I think with it being a holiday period things might take a while.
I doubt anyone is at work.

The owners work very hard and try to be as quick as possible but they get a LOT of stories submitted. Just be a little patient - they are wonderful and welcome to the gb

have patience it's a busy time of year and people have lives to live, too. i'm sure they'll get to your story as soon as possible.

New text story submissions currently take around 48 hours to be posted.

I checked your submission, and it appears that you have opened it and hit the SUBMIT button several times over the last few days. Stories and poems are approved by date, oldest to newest. Whenever the author makes changes to a story or poem - or even if the author clicks on the submission and hits SUBMIT again - that submission is moved to the end of the queue.

To speed up the posting of your work, only make changes when necessary.

Watch for the "pending" to turn from blue to grey, with a date next to it. Shouldn't be long now.

and don't click on the pending or you go back to the back of the line.
