Skyscraper burns for hours in Dubai, but fails to collapse at freefall speed.

An apparent fireworks malfunction set a Skyscraper in Dubai completely ablaze, but the building did not collapse inward on itself at freefall speed like WTC 7 (world trade center building 7) did on 9/11 because of a series or very small fires.

When you don't have gallon after gallon of diesel fuel feeding a fire, this tends to happen.

Not to mention a big chunk hadn't been taken out of the building, reducing its structural integrity.

You will never convince the true conspiracy believer...

Let's face it, no Rove, no Cheney, no collapse.

I know, but the facts always need to be put so anyone reading the nonsense will know what the truth of the matter is.

It's like when people whine Obama bailed out Wall Street, completely forgetting it was Bush in the fall of 2008 who signed the legislation handing over $700 billion of taxpayer money so J.P. Morgan, Goldman Sachs, Wachovia et al could pay out their bonuses.

They'll stomp their feet and call him a traitor for doing so because facts don't matter to such people. But the facts need to be stated.

Well, The silly fucker didn't have a clue the economy was so fucked up until someone reported that the he was well and truly fucked on his do not bail out policy.
I saw it in his face, he did not like it but he felt he had no choice...possibly more bad advise, but then he received lots of that...I hope Donald is able to tell the difference!

Go read the book, "Too Big To Fail" by Andrew Ross Sorkin. Bush was kept informed the entire time. He and his people knew what was going on every step of the way, at times, hour by hour.

If you're claiming Bush was too stupid to understand how bad he had let things become, then I agree. He and the Republicans fought every single attempt to impose tighter regulations and more transparency on both Wall Street and the housing market because people such as Dick Fuld and Lloyd Blankfein and Jamie Dimon all said they knew what they were doing, that this time it was different, that any restrictions on their activities would make them less competitive.

The only thing Bush was worried about, and the book makes note of this, was how his legacy would be known. Would he be seen as someone bailing out the elite.

Which obviously he did.

Yeah, I mean, it's not like there was any confusion on that day or anything. Here's a tip for you, Mikey: Anything Alex Jones says about anything is bullshit.
Not true.

I once heard a clip of Alex Jones saying "I'm cranky this morning." I believe that was probably accurate.

Sure, it left out a lot of information, such as "I'm insane" and "I'm an idiot". But I have no reason to believe he was not, in fact, cranky. Or that it was, indeed, morning.

You spewed your own "bullshit", and then you flat-out lied trying to cover your "bullshit" ass.

What's the diff between you and Alex Jones again, seaniepoo?

Just curious, does the Dubai building have the same "tubular" construction that the WTC buildings had?

Just curious, does the Dubai building have the same "tubular" construction that the WTC buildings had?

Nope. From Wikipedia:

Construction of Burj Khalifa began in 2004, with the exterior completed in 2009. The primary structure is reinforced concrete.
. . .
A buttressed core structural system is used to support the height of the building, and the cladding system is designed to withstand Dubai's summer temperatures.
. . .
Burj Khalifa uses the bundled tube design of the Willis Tower, invented by Fazlur Rahman Khan.[38][39] Proportionally, the design uses half the amount of steel used in the construction of the Empire State Building thanks to the tubular system.

For a more detailed layout of the building and its construction:

http://cenews.com/article/7709/design_and_construction_of_the_world_acute_s_tallest_building__the_burj_dubai

wherein it states:

Most of the tower is a reinforced concrete structure, except for the top, which consists of a structural steel spire with a diagonally braced lateral system. High-performance concrete is utilized throughout. The concrete mix was designed to provide a low-permeability yet high-durability concrete. Wall and column concrete strengths range from C80 to C60 cube strength (11.6 kips per square inch (ksi) to 8.7 ksi cube strength), and contain portland cement, fly ash, and local aggregates. The C80 concrete has a specified Young’s Elastic Modulus of 43,800 N/mm2 (6,350 ksi) at 90 days.
