Ain't feminism great?

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/w...med-he-raped-her-to-stand-trial-a6777641.html

A Colorado man who spent three decades in prison after a woman dreamed that he raped her may soon go free.

Denver District Court Judge Kandace Gerdes overturned Clarence Moses-El’s 1988 conviction, after he had served more than half of his 48-year sentence, local television 9News reported.

The ruling was confirmed on December 14 by a Facebook support page entitled “Free Clarence Moses-EL.”

The rape victim — a neighbour of Mr Moses-El’s, whose identity has not been established in reports — initially identified him as her attacker after his face came to her in a dream.

How could you possibly convict someone of rape based on such evidence?

"I was raped, and the identity of my attacker came to me in a dream. So that MUST be him!"

How could such an argument possibly be used as evidence to convict someone as a crime in America?

That might work in some obscure third-world country where psychics are jailed if their predictions don't came true and people are accused of being vampires. But in America, convicting someone of a crime in our legal system is based on hard scientific and factual evidence.

Screwed up world...

Logic would say there is a link provided and a thousand other news stories about the same thing so it most certainly did happen.

And the link doesn't contain the transcripts of what happened in court. Only part of the story. Which again, logic tells us that this did not happen as sold.

Of course it happened. All you have to do is look. Why would you refuse to believe in something so obvious and verifiable and that has been part of national news?

Because I'm not an idiot. And you know what else was part of the national news? A pimp getting tax information from ACORN. The better question is why would you believe something so utterly impossible that you know it could not possibly happen?

This is someting that absolutely happened years ago. It's been in national news because of the guy being freed.
I'm not sure why you are so adamant that it didn't happen. It did. Everyone knows it did. You are the only person on the planet who doesn't think it did. A couple seconds on google brings up countless news stories regarding the whole thing from start to finish.
The woman named one guy, changed her mind when she said the other guy came up in a dream and they convicted him. That's it. If it doesn't fit your view of the world then I don't know what to tell you.

Someone hasn't done the five minutes of googling since if they had they would know the woman was in fact rape. She didn't dream she was raped. It actually happened.

She was badly beaten to the point of being hospitalized for a length of time, had difficulty identifying her rapist. Additionally she knew him prior from the neighborhood, she didn't just 'dream' him up.

Oh and the guy might be tried again for the rape and if they do he may be found guilty again. At this point it's looking likely that he won't.

So in short, no this didn't happen as it's being sold and if I'm the only person on the planet who has the common sense to look at something fishy and know instinctively that it's bullshit then we need to get smarter people than we currently have because frankly this is basic shit.

Who said she wasn't raped? She dreamed the mans face or so she said. Whether or not she was raped isn't being questioned by anyone. I even said in a previous post that she first named a different guy and then had the dream about the other. Most stories even say she had the dream in the hospital after the rape. It's about the guy who spent 28 years in jail because she dreamed his face that is the story. Almost every news story says he has a new trial coming.
Not sure what you think was presented but I dont see anything that suggests she wasn't raped or he's not being tried again.

The thread is titled Man jailed for 28 years after woman dreamed he raped her. I don't know about where you come from but dreams and reality are separate things in my world. As in things that I dream are generally treated as things that did not happen

A new trial would imply that there are still people who think he did it, this wasn't something that just came out of the blue where a woman pointed to some random man and screamed rape. She also knew the man previously she didn't dream him up out of the blue as the OP seems to imply.

It's the same old headline bullshit from the OP. The thread never matches the title, and the story is always skewed to produce sensationalism toward racism and feminism.
I guess the Christmas break must have heightened his itchy fingers.

Kids, kids. The problem here is how is it that they convicted him on such flimsy evidence?

Without the transcripts we don't know what evidence they had above and beyond her coming up with his face. So basically your entire argument is that eyewitness testimony is shoddy at best I could have told you that. That's not female privilege, that's a combination of being black sucks legally and just bad luck.

And she still knew the guy, she didn't dream up a mystery man who then just happened to fit the exact discription of someone near her geographically.
