It's my first year alone, too. Last year, we faked it at his parents house, because we weren't ready to tell anyone.

This year, its just me and the kids, since my parents and family live so far away.

The way I look at it is this: I'd rather be alone and start new traditions than keep living a lie. Doesn't feel GREAT, but next year is gonna be MY year!
