New York Times, citing a source that requested not to be identified out of safety concerns, yet reporting a long term knowledge of the shooter says that the shooter expressed admiration of the "Army of God", a violent anti-abortion group that has carried out several attacks. (The Army of God in turn is an offshoot of the Christian Identity movement).
"Another report from the Charleston Post and Courier claimed that Dear was obsessed with an interpretation of the Christian apocalypse, and used dark, bizarre theology to justify disturbing acts of domestic violence against his ex wife.
“He claims to be a Christian and is extremely evangelistic, but does not follow the Bible in his actions,” Mescher, Dear’s ex-wife, reportedly stated in an affidavit when she filed for divorce. “He says that as long as he believes he will be saved, he can do whatever he pleases. He is obsessed with the world coming to an end.”
He does not appear to have been a member of any specific denomination or organization - but rather a classic example of a mentally unbalanced self-radicalized Christian terrorist.

If you are telling me that Baptists don't represent Christians, is it not equally possible that the shooters in San Bernadino do not represent Muslims.

The guy was a murdering jerk who deserves the death penalty. He is no better than any other terrorists (many of which the President and the leftist have made excuses for) but the left wing pro communists and the right wing progressives want to use him to cover up their own corrupt doings. What he did does not delete what the Planned Parenthood leaders did. Two wrongs do not make a right. Both are criminal.
But the politics are what is "funny". When a terror threat was made against schools in New York and Los Angeles, the people of L.A. thought more of their children then money and closed the schools to be on the safe side. They say it was a joke in some quarters. But there is no such thing as a joke when it comes to terror threats. They are just as guilty for making them as they are of doing them. But New York decided that their children were not that important. However when the Plan Parent Hood attack was made in one place by this jack ass and no threat made anywhere else, they closed all the Plan Parenthood buildings because it made more political sense to their mayor.
The people responsible in Plan Parenthood for their crimes should face justice just as this rat who killed the innocent people with his gun. Fair is fair. Political law is not law.

I agree with your first sentence, but not much else. PP performs a legal and necessary service to women and girls. This rat should be hanged from a tree and those who support PP should put themselves on the line to do so. If it weren't for my advanced age, that's what I would be doing.

Last month by phone Dear called KCNC reporter Rick Sallinger from jail and said his problems began while watching the Branch Davidian siege in Texas.
"It started 22 years ago in Waco... I'm a Christian and so when they burned up those Christians and 17 little kids and everything else I was pretty upset about it and I called the radio station."
