I kind of feel sorry for those that enjoy, but are limited in time due to family or other circumstance and have to limit their 'stash' to what can be easily concealed or carried. Doing it for a few hours at a time while on the road has to be frustrating.
To really indulge takes much more freedom, and effort. Pulling on some hose, some clunky shoes and maybe some undies or a simple dress is one thing. Getting in and out of a corset or bustier or similar foundation garments is another. It takes practice and self control to wear things that can restrict movement to some extent. Walking in six inch stilettos without breaking an ankle is not something everyone can do. You have to work on your balance and stride to build up your ankles and calves. Tackling a staircase is a whole new experience.
Going 'full dress' from head to toe can take hours if you do everything in detail. Nails alone can be a real bitch. Planning what to wear, jewelry, hair, etc. Coordinating outfits. Thinking about what you have and what you need to get somewhere. Learning sizes and availability can be complicated. Finding sources that don't plaster their names on packages is another issue.
Then there are the movements and mannerisms that most never really master. Being able to walk in heels is vastly different than 'walking in heels'. Watch some on the runways or streets and see the finesse and style of motion. That ain't easy.
And even then, it's usually only for one's own self.
It gives you a new respect and understanding into what they go through on a daily basis. But they don't see that. They still frown and start shaming and name calling.
(People very often misread what I say, so to be clear, this is not knocking those that have limited opportunities)

Like you said in your first paragraph, I'm one of the people who can occasionally have a few hours of fun in private. Nice, though, while it lasts!
I can't pretend I can promenade in heels but I like what they do to my body when I walk around in them...

Your long post is interesting and I too am a travelling and therefore occasional cd who you can feel sorry for! I find the range of people here amazing, fascinating and reassuring. I would love to be able to go the whole way, see how I could look with time, effort and the right accessories, but I fear it will not happen.
What I love is the sensuality of the clothing, the fabrics, the different way a skirt, a dress, heels feel on compared to drab male items. Many here are seeking male attention, and that is great but isn't me. I don't dress to attract a man though it occasionally happens I get interest! I would be most aroused if I could share this with a woman who finds it as erotic as I do... Alas not likely but that doesn't stop me looking!
Keep posting all, I will, as the feedback is very reassuring and supportive. F-I heels, your post is thought provoking and your pics delicious... And that from a straight cd!
