No More Anonymous

I pulled the plug on anonymous comments as virtually all of them are crap. I generally get crap or favorites, and almost nothing useful....I LOVE IT is as useless as *1. EAT SHIT AND DIE U RACIST. One bomb it and move on.

I noticed all the anonymous comments are trash, so why furnish a wall for them to paint shit on.

I've done this periodically. You get vastly fewer comments if you block anons, and in my experience most anons are fine. But I've had instances where an anon wanted to play tease-the-author, and I decided to put an end to that.

It dawned on me the message is always the same. Its boring. Tell me something I don't know.

Nearly all of the anonymous comments on my stories are fine. I can delete any I think are off the reservation. That said, if an author is really bothered by the bulk of the anonymous comments being received, turning them off is just hunky dory.

The good anon far outweighs the bad, I think people are losing out when they block anon comments.
