The best writing advice ever.

For goodness sake, you certainly are and are continuing doing it.

There's nothing in what I wrote that says the force is outside of me.

You're just doing your "we are the best" voting block tag team turn.

Buzz off.

I don't want to have a conversation with you. I told you that when you harassed me by PM.

OK, so explain it in one usable word (which you didn't do in your post).

Or don't, it doesn't bother me that you choose to be bothered by the word.

I wasn't at all evasive in my explanation. A single word description would be evasive and wouldn't come near to describing the same thing to everyone who heard it. Like "love" or "purple", you can't be sure what the user meant.

Maybe there's a 78 letter German word that describes it.

Upon reflection, "imagination" might be the same. I'll keep using the word "Muse," though, because it also does the trick for me and irritates the anal retentive.

If I want to call it a muse, why should anyone go into a snit?

Are we having a snit over a snit?

My comments about a muse were mostly in fun. I seriously would never use the term myself, but it's only a-musing, not snit-worthy, to hear others wax poetic [not real comfortable with that one either] about their muse.

Time for me to take TxRad's advice and go write something.

No, I don't think so. It's just on the edge of a continuing irritation I see in threads--the desire for there to be "one best" way to do anything. It gets really tiresome.

One foot out the door for a quick trip to Washington.

Think of it as one opinion, and let it go. We all think our opinions are best even if we are fine with others.

Enjoy your trip.

The snit domino effect.

The force can be easily explained without resorting to such a prissy word.

Oh this made me grin. :D

I'm with rjordan on this one. I don't love the idea of a muse, or talented writers giving credit to one. I am my own muse. Like Naoko said, many things, people, circumstances may inspire me, but it's still me.

Why would I give credit of my genius (or lack thereof) to some imaginary thing?

Agreed.
