stopped by today with a couple of presents. It made me smile that he would go out of his way to buy some little something for us. He's my dad's age and lives alone. We try to keep a weather eye out his direction for signs he's okay, he's quite independent, so we have to watch discreetly. He's also a bit of a curmudgeon, but he has a good heart.

When I lived in PA our neighbor was 90. He had cats. He would stand on his porch and yell, "Here pussy, pussy, pussy!" My daughter always got a kick out of that!

Our neighbor isn't an animal person, but he's always grown a vegetable garden that could have made a magazine layout. This year, he had trouble running the tiller; he needs a smaller one that's more manageable for him. He says he may not grow a garden next yr. That made me sad.

One year, I had a big larpy Great Dane. He was only half grown and he took a shine to napping in B's corn. B came over and asked he he could buy the dog...(so he could give him away). <snicker> We kept Eli out of the corn the rest of the summer, and it wasn't an issue once he was grown.

I once had to learn some Canton-ese...

;)

I bought new nerf guns and I will be shooting some dog this holiday season.

My sign at the gate says trespassers will be shot, survivors will be shot again.

:D ;) ;)

The only people I know of B ever pulling a gun on were some deer poachers he caught on his property one night. He didn't hurt 'em, just scared the crap out of them. LOL good times

Would he let you do the tilling? I  danes!

That's funny!

Frankly, that's the only half-way decent reason I've ever heard of for actually having cats. Somebody else might possibly show up.

Don't be a busy body. He might have kinks he doesn't want you to know about.

Leave him as alone as he wants to be.

^^ Reminds me of this:

Guy calls police, says his buddy's been shot and he thinks he's dead.

Operator: 'Are you sure he's dead?'
Caller: 'Let me go check'
(footsteps .... sound of gunshot .... footsteps)
Caller: 'Yep, Hes dead'.

Blahaha! (Blame the pain killers! Lol ;) )

Greenworks Battery powered tiller. $125 and you should buy an extra battery.

Do something nice for your neighbour.
