Weird psycho killing, where someone gets a gun and goes somewhere to kill strangers, are nearly always caused by white men without a support system. Something causes them to snap. They decide to die while taking others with them. Their attitude is, "I've been kicked around all my life. I am finally going to kick back."

Most people in the world have some religion. Many will die to defend it. Are you prepared to fight them all?

Religion has to be a living thing not some dead thing from hundreds of years ago, studied and argued over. It has to evolve and change as society and technology do.

Todays religion is tomorrow's myth. A source for grand stories, loves and losses. The type of stories Hollywood is completely incapable of imagining.

Jesus taught charity and love thy neighbour. Nothing wrong with that. His deification by the commentators of his words to attract followers was incorrect. But Jesus himself is a symbol of hope and charity.

If someone is religious and not trying to force others to live by their religious views (or knocking on your door trying to convert you) what's the harm in them being religious?

Incorrect. I know many a good religious RC and Anglican that do not attempt conversions. Especially of children even their own. Except by good example. Some RCs follow a bit of dogma in things like confirmation and stuff but no one I know proselytizes.

Nothing wrong in bringing up a child in the faith that you were raised in and contributed to your values and ethics. Just don't beat it in to them(figuratively and literally) and when old enough let them make own choice.
