Probably the wrong section to post in but wouldn't you think that with the way technology has moved on that it would much easier for someone looking to submit a story if you could do it from a phone rather than copying and pasting from a computer ? Just a thought as sometimes it can be hard to use a laptop because of too many watching eyes at home.

I'm not clear what you're asking for. It's already possible to submit via phone if you're masochistic enough to type an entire story into the submission window, or I guess you could email it to yourself and then paste from email to the submission field, but I take it you're talking about something a bit more phone-friendly?

Exactly, the site has both android and iPhone links so would it really be too hard to create a submission section through the apps ?, something that you could work on while you're sitting on a train or in work whatever, because let's be honest, who wants to try type a full story in the submission box where it's almost impossible to even proof read it.

There apps like Evernote, which lets your write documents and share between devices. You could copy and paste from that.

I doubt Lit could make an app for iProducts, at least not available through the App Store, since Apple is pretty strict about adult content, to my knowledge. I mean, I'm sure they could make one, but I think it'd have to be a 3d party deal.

Evernote would do well for that. I use it every day to make notes or take snapshots that I need to trade between phone and computer.

I also use dropbox which is even easier for story files since it is nothing but a virtual folder that appears on all my devices and doesn't require a separate app like Evernote does.

I also store all my stories in rtf format so I don't have to make any conversions for any device. I write everything in Scrivener on either laptop or desktop. Scrivener on both computers retrieves and saves everything to dropbox. I don't have to think about anything.

Thanks a million guys, I'm sure one of them will work perfect

If you wish to hide your accessing Lit from your home computer, either use a private window or use a Tor-enabled browser to surf to Lit. Then when you close your windows, your browsing history will not be saved.

I was warned that some of my stories have paragraphs that are too long for many Lit readers who are browsing on mobile devices. So I am pretty sure many people are already surreptitiously accessing Lit on a phone.

I sure have read plenty with spelling and grammar that seemed to have been written on a phone! Although I did have some beautifully written dirty emails the other day, the giveaway was that the author wrote 'u' instead of 'you'. I figured he was a young guy using a mobile phone, so I am afraid I refused to send him nude photos <snerk> and suggested he get out and live a bit instead of hassling li'l old ladies for nudie pics. I don't wish to stretch his phone screen with my mummy fat!

Welcome to the board, BTW. Have fun! borrow TXRad's shark-proof suit if you decide to upload mobile nubile stories to Loving Wives.

Firefox and Chrome both have stealth/incognito modes that don't save history. You can have an incognito tab open for Lit and other tabs open normally at the same time.

The OP might be concerned with people seeing the screen over his shoulder instead of from browser history, in which case a phone would be the best protection from prying eyes.

Thanks guys, and yeah that's it. Having teenage kids at home makes prying eyes a major possibility plus I'm more comfortable sitting with a phone in my hand.

Try a tablet, kept in a locked drawer.

Or keeping it all in a USB 'thumb drive' that is either locked up or on your person.

It's amazing what is available as portable apps lately.

Post up your stories, unmount the drive, wipe the history if you aren't already running in private mode and none the wiser.

I have seen a few stories on here posted from a phone, not pretty.

iDevices

Here's another option for you if you use apple products: iCloud.

Just like every other cloud provider, you can access all your stuff from all your devices, and you don't need an special app for it. I have an iPhone, and a non-apple laptop, and it's super easy to switch between the devices in near-real-time. The 'notepad' app on the phone can sync with the icloud, and the laptop uses a web interface.

One warning though - once you get above around 15k-20k words, then your phone will start to lag, and it's a huge pain in the butt to scroll all that way down when you need to add to the end of a story.

And yes, I've written more stories than I care to think about completely on my phone, then switched to a laptop/tablet to proof-read and edit so it doesn't look like I thumb-tapped the story directly into the submission box. Well now that I think of it, I'd say that I've probably done at least a dozen on my iphone (either a 4 or 6), averaging 10-20k words. Yes my thumbs hurt. Yes I commute a lot. Yes I hide from people at group functions. And no, I don't think I've ever been caught secretly writing stuff, nor browsing Lit.

Using phones for privacy is awesome.
