I knew, personally, a woman who faked it for almost two years, and even fooled a doctor and a med student who posted with her on that forum. She even shaved her head for a cancer fundraiser, then posted the after photo as a "chemo shot".

You don't need to be a doctor to glean accurate and believable information that sounds plausible to anyone...doctor's included.

People doubt Ann because of a long history on this board of behavior that leaves her credibility in doubt. You've been here all of five minutes, but think you know everything about everyone that's worth knowing.

It did a bit, at one point, when I found myself to be the target of some nasty personal attacks which occurred after I was stupid enough to leak some very sensitive personal info. But I learned to put up defenses & avoid the crap or not take it to heart.

On the other hand, I met so many nice posters here, and the posts are so much fun… .They helped me get over some personal crap that I was going through, and they still keep putting a smile on my face if it rains or if I'm in a bad mood.
So overall, the benefits outweigh the nasties, and I'm greatful for this forum.

And here, on the GB, there are a lot of obsessive posters I'm scared to meet in real life. Some people are lost, not worth any responding, as they're out of any human touch at all. There are worse cases than aella. We don't need to make things worse than they are.

If I had to weight it, honesty is the most important thing. you can hate me, you can badmouth as much as you like - as long as you're honest.

If you're dishonest and hypocrite, you can be the nicest, most diplomatic person on earth - I'd say "Fuck you" whenever possible.

But worse than both of it is bigotry. I don't need to talk to people who forgot they deal with human being.
