There was a wonderful Arthouse film called Paris Texas, directed by Wim Wenders with a wonderful cast headed by Harry Dean Stanton and a haunting guitar soundtrack by Ry Cooder.

I saw that, but retain only the vaguest memories
I'll have to seek it out again... love Ry Cooder

You certainly get around, (cue the Beach Boys) and know how to choose your destinations well, is this wanderlust a recent thing.

not new... when sons were young and we were leaving them at home, we wouldn't go further than the Caribbean so we could get back quickly if needed -- the days of islands and scuba diving. But when a friend moved to Hong Kong, I took advantage of her place as home base to explore Japan and Macau. I think that's when we started taking turns with trips, and I found a good group of women to travel with. Enjoying traveling together the past few years.

Welcome back, Mara! It's nice to have our national treasure back home where she belongs! :D

what a wonderful thing to say! thanks so much!!!∞∞∞

Love this!

and a kiss back to you

So glad your journeys were safe and that you had a wonderful time on your trip.. but yes, no matter how far we travel, there is something special about coming home... Thanks so much for sharing with us while you were away...:rose::kiss::rose:

glad you enjoyed! I really thought it would be a Lit break, but then I couldn't resist...

The soundtrack is/was available on disc.

I'll look for it, thanks

Bumping the lovely Ms Mara to page 1.

Or bottoms up? I'm drinking it in.:)

your caption is far better than mine! That doesn't surprise me one bit. Want a job? And you might be amused to know that I had a DING while walking this afternoon. My response to "but mashed potato is so hard to clean out" [re cooking with ears] SHOULD have been: that's what tongues are for...

I, really, must stop reading your thread this early in the morning.
Doing so always results in a major delay to the beginning of my day. :D:devil:

Now, if you would please roll over. :rose:;)

laughing... well I trust you are enjoying the major delay

TOPP!!!!
A purple clad bottom!!!!
Oh how I would love to be on top of that bottom!!!!:heart::D

well, clad is a stretch! that fine line of purple is pretty hard to even detect, so good for you!

Dear goodness Mara, I find you beautiful every day, but my gosh, this photo bumped you up on a scale that was already maxed out.

YOU! I had no idea you ever looked here.
Thanks so much for speaking up. I'm touched...
I think you have a great eye, and I always notice when you comment on threads I follow, so I'm honored by your approval.

Mara, I would happily be the Topp for your Bottom!!!

I set myself up for that one! Would you believe I didn't think of it at the time?

Let the paddling begin!

I think I showed the after before the before... But hey, there's more... as usual...
