Normally the B&Ws go here (the whole 'Shady Goods' theme) but the HMoL thread is more artsy than mine (especially after Lyric's challenge) so I reversed my normal posting scheme. Since there's a small but growing group that prefer my color to my B&Ws I'll do my best to post more.

If I were drinking anything when I read that, it'd be all over my monitor. Thanks for the almost spit-take there.

The color version is lovely and warm, so a good choice for your reason for posting it. But, the B&W has my heart. My goodness, it's gorgeous.

Lyric after reading your comment I became VERY concerned. I had visions of you, and possibly others, spitting liquids onto your laptops or computers. This in turn would short them out, cause them to burst into flames and then you'd go down in the history books as another case of Spontaneous Human Combustion (SHC).

Because I have few fans, and they are all dear to me, and to avoid a sudden, small an inexplicable SHC spike I edited my earlier post to hopefully prevent future spit-take episodes (I thank my lucky stars that your mouth was empty at the time you read my thoughtless comment).

Please except my sincerest apology for nearly causing you to burst into flames.

This is such a beautiful shot. I know you're a man and all but I think it's beautiful so I stand by my thoughts.

Well we can't know for sure unless we confirm it with an experiment. I'll be by later and we can give it the old college try (that involves lots of booze, a telephone booth and a few other people). Glad you liked the picture. That's my first snap in my actual bed. Lord how I missed it.

The somewhat less than artsy photos get much praise and thanks, so they will continue to populate the thread. Ah well, there are still some good additions to it from time to time. Our venerable Mr. Rogue one of the best among them.

Thanks Omega. My bed is quite relaxing. The head and the feet can be raised and there's a massage feature (that doesn't cost a quarter every 10 minutes). Not long after taking that shot I did rise and I tried to shine a bit of me but no matter how hard I rubbed it just wouldn't shine. I might need to help of a more experienced shiner.

Well accounting requires rigor and exacting application of rules so it's no wonder you're a fan of the scientific method (and probably a few other methods ). If you're leaving the door unlocked we should probably have a password so you know who to shoot and who not to shoot.

The phrase can be "What's the terminal airspeed of an unladen swallow?" and the countersign is "African or European?"

All threads ebb and flow and I agree we can stop the ebb with a little flow.

As you well know I came close a couple of times to posting an artistic dick pic in an attempt to illustrate to some of the guys what was possible with a cell phone camera, a bit of imagination and patience but fortunately my voice of reason (and primary art critic) reminded me of my policy on face and dick pics. And then I remembered two things...

1. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder
2. It's not my place to tell people what's beautiful (but it appears to be Icy's job relative to me)

So I've given up trying to change anything and gone back to why I started posting in the first place. For fun and for those who appreciate my shots. HMoL won't ever be my go to thread but I'll still visit from time to time.

Beauty is definitely in the eye of the beholder, and while I know you could give excellent demonstration of what can be achieved, I think the beauty of the photos you post is that you are so creative within the parameters that you set for yourself.

I'm quite sure that I will continue to shake my head in amusement at some of the photos that are posted in HMoL (seriously, is it so hard to make sure they're in focus?!), but it increases my appreciation for the ones who appear to make an effort taking the photos they share.
