Cunt of the Year Nominations

I say you keep it open till Jan. or the thread goes over the limit. The give the award out in Jan. It would be for 2015. Just a suggestion since I am not a GB member or a voter.

Maybe this a cultural or a linguistic thing.

Its not completely unheard of in some sections of society in UK for cunt to be used affectionately/teasingly.

This is always how I have 'heard' fata use it.

As well as being too busy being new, I found this thread too confusing over which type of cunt everyone was to follow.

I also find this end of year competitiveness a bit unpleasant. I think I'd like to withdraw from it all. I don't mind being the party pooper, but I don't like all the poking with sticks I think. I like the fun teasing and playing.

It is a negative term here.
cunt. Derogatory term for a woman. Considered by many to be the most offensive word in the English language. My ex-girlfriend is a fucking cunt. ( http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=cunt) Though for purposes of this vote it is being open to men as well. You may want to note the web site I listed and it will explain a lot of the slang lingo that get thrown around here.

Me too. For slightly different reasons.
People end up being split in teams over whom they "like" or "dislike". Most of them are just being silly pulling people's leg just to have fun, but some of them are serious.

I enjoyed the drama A Lot with the other competition (most popular Litster). But now that it's my turn too… .nah, not so much.

Actually, at least in the UK, it's gender neutral when used as an epithet.

A term of love and endearment.

Certainly doesn't have the stigma it has in the US. Seeing a mate you hadn't seen in a while, "where have you been, you cunt?" wouldn't be considered out of place or insulting.

Very true. The word still has a little sting in the states.

Here?

Fata fucked that all up.

The cunt.

I used to hate that word but it grows on you in here........like mold.
gosh, the cunt thing…
I generally don't get brit. humour, given that they're so PC. And hard to tell at times whether they're serious or just kidding.
And those "cunt" and "dummy" thing and other epithets that are used in both ways in the GB…
they made it So confusing for me, in the beginning.

Plus, they really treated the Irish rather poorly.
