But then, my sister gave me this gorgeous emerald ring for my birthday, which brought me back to reality. (they don't go well together).

Funny...I couldn't figure out what do jewelry have to do with bumper-stickers, but then I realised that killed two birds with one stone/answered two posts at once.

I don't like them by themselves, , for some reason. On the other hand, turquoise goes lovely with red as a design for jewelry. I'll send you some pics. for some really funky stuff, if your family is into that.

I am a huge fan of boho and handcrafted, one-off pieces.
I have a large garnet and silver cross, made with garnets I helped find. And a bracelet and pendant both with large 'chunks' of polished golden amber that I had set in silver. My fave pieces
But my jewelery box is easily 30cm cubed.... filled with funky pieces I have collected on my travels.
