who loves gothic women and why ?

To a degree. If it's too forced, too cliched, too "Hot Topic" it becomes silly.

But yeah the contrasting colors of dark eyes/hair with pale skin, corsets, black clothes with subtle amounts of red and silver... all very nice.

Yes. If I had to analyze it, I would say it's the imagery (of course) and the certain element of danger associated with the unusual, the forbidden is displayed more openly, the hunger and sensuality is a little more overt, unmistakable ... when one of them gives you the eye, there's no doubting it and that makes takes the breath away ...

When one gives you the eye? explain what you mean by that one lol.

I love the darkness of their hair, the commanding control they have over me while I'm entranced by their darkness and beauty. I love the feeling when I am at their beckon call. Oh yeah, dark hair with dark lips is a huge turn on too.

What do I mean? That's difficult to actually describe ... there's an intensity, a dark desire that comes through her eyes, framed in a slightly lowered gaze, the head cocked to one side, the very very slight smile and hint of dimple. I find it interesting that ofttimes no one around has seen it besides her and me (I think of one gal in particular in my history) and the look was electric, caused my heart to jump in my chest and suddenly I was in an altered state. I questioned myself at the time, was this all in my imagination, was I indulging in complete fantasy, was my overheated mind playing tricks with my heart? I found out later that it was oh so real, and those memories are branded into me. And there is a curse to it as well, that once experienced, there is nothing so sweet any longer as the fulfillment of the lure of the forbidden. Pardon for the epistle, I do blather on sometimes.

Someone once told me that I had the lure of the macabre " the dance of death," you're only the second person I heard describe it in a similar way describing gothic women

I have thought, giving my experience, that mayhaps there are those who feel it and those who do not, much as it's impossible to receive FM broadcasts on an AM receiver. But it's so rare that when it does come about that one doubts whether it's real. When it is real, when it happens there is nothing so alluring as the primal urge to take that dark swan dive into the emotional infinite void and breath deep as if for the first time, every time.
Again, pardon the rather melodramatic purple prose, but the inspiration to express these things doesn't come around very often.

Well literotica is the place to express yourself, And with me or my threads They are a great place to express your Macabre.:rose:

There's Gothic, and then there's Goth.

For Goth, I don't know. I haven't kept up.

For Gothic, I love Hildegard von Bingen. Classy.

Hell yes!

There is something seductive about the darkness.

I'd worship you as if in a trance. Obey your every whim.

Definitely like. Why I am not really sure.

I think maybe it is not so much as specific look as it is what it says about the person and their level of personal independence and confidence.

A gothic woman who looks that way because she wants to and does so even when she is the only one is demonstrating her natural inclination to not let other people tell her who she is supposed to be. I have always found such women very sexy and much more likely to be someone with whom I will make a personal connection, sexual or not. The women with whom I have had shallower and less satisfying relationships were the ones who worried about what other people - especially other women - thought of them. It never felt like I was connecting with them personally but with the consensus of their judgmental gfs.

On the other hand a gothic person who dresses that way to fit into a clique is every bit the follower. It always reminds me of when I was younger and all the "punks" dressed a certain way and hung out together and talked shit about how everyone else were just sheep. As if being a follower of Sid Vicious made one any less a follower than if they emulated someone more mainstream.

It can be interesting ala Morticia Addams. Maybe Lydia Deetz.

Or it can be too extreme. Don't like black nails and lipstick or tattoos.

I agree with this one

Goth

Works OK on a younger girl/wman but (in my opinion) the look fades as she get older. It;s a "college age" look as far as I'm concerened. But then I'm not living life in a casket!

Well Doesn't look Good with older women Thanks a lot lol ,now explain the living life in the casket ?

for those women who can pull it off, goth can be a cool look.

but most of the goth chicks i've met never struck me as truly goth, meaning they had the look but not the attitude or lifestyle. it was just a passing fashion for them

And what would you consider me under your gothic theory ?

Basically, goth women show that they are not afraid to show how they feel on their outside. They are willing to explore who they are and delve into it and be what they feel. They don't run away from feelings or use drama as a shield. I have found some of the most goth looking women I've met to be some of the happiest women I've met because they embrace and own who they are and make no apologies and hide nothing. That is so intoxicating.

In many ways they are a lot more grounded than the perpetual adolescence that seems to pass for womanhood in N.America these days. Instead of looking for a daddy, they're looking for a mate, even if for fleeting moments.
Embracing & exploring their fears & emotions in their own way themselves instead of needing a shield. Even if they have strong sub tendencies, usually they are self sufficient and have their own goals & careers, which is something I value in a woman.

And I disagree that it is only a young girls look, though in older woman it tends to be muted or even hidden. Atleast until the weekend or those special school nights.

The most important or critical Part of Gothic Is not the makeup, or the closing. it is the state of mind, it is in the soul, a way of life, it is something you don't have to work at ,it comes natural to you.

Which leads into another thread I've been debating starting.

i couldn't say, it's the sort of thing that's difficult to determine by photos alone.

if you say you live the goth lifestyle i'll give you the benefit of the doubt
