Went out for Thanksgiving so I had no left overs. Ended up baking a ham with what I had on hand.
Coconut oil, brown sugar and some hard Black Berry cider. It actually came out really good.

I'm making potato soup with the leftover ham from Thanksgiving. Mister insisted we use the bone in the soup. :)

Mmmmm... sounds really good!

I'm also having leftovers, making my little tarts stuffed with turkey, stuffing, sweet potato casserole, green bean casserole, cranberry, mashed potatoes and gravy. Topped with French fried onions. Nom nom nom! :D

Presumably these tarts are constructed from paté brisée and not flesh and blood?

Roasting the turkey right now. Our fridge has too much food. Half the potato filling is gone, hopefully the rest done tonight. We still have a lot of ham, which I'm waiting for Master to trim off the bone (I can't get the right leverage). That will become sammiches and soup. The turkey carcass will become stock for some wild rice & mushroom soup. I love soup season!

Yes! So glad soup season is finally here! I made a lovely one the other day with odds and ends of veggies, mushrooms, roasted garlic, chicken stock and egg noodles. I ate the whole pot in one day :D

Hello, my name is Seela and I'm so lazy that I rather make my own yoghurt and paneer than walk to buy groceries.

That said, we're having palak paneer today.

As a side dish, a casserole of layered mashed potatoes, caramelized onions, shredded sharp cheddar cheese, and more mashed potatoes, topped with butter and baked until bubbly. Definitely the star of the show :) Accompanied by a roasted chicken and fresh, sauteed veggies. Yum yum yum!

Weirdly, a friend wants me to make them banana nut bread, and they don't like bananas  Does anyone have any suggestions for a substitute, or recipes to share?

Some people hate bananas in their natural state but rather enjoy them when baked into breads and such.

Nothing like this is in the works for tonight, but I WILL get to Shake Shack soon if it kills me. And it might.

Mmmmm- Shake shack! Chocolate shake, fries, and a burger. Nom nom! We only have Freddy's here, but I get shake shack when I travel. Freddy's is pretty good as well.

Zucchini bread. Same texture, different flavor, and you can have fun with the spices.

I should have mentioned, zucchini is out as well :l
Maybe multiple nuts and raisins? And just follow zucchini bread recipe. Hmmm...
I think I will try that :) Thanks!

A Shake Shack opened up in a trendy part of Chicago a few months ago and I hear the lines are easily 2 hours long for most of the day. Link to Freddy's, please?
