math is math, english is english... can't argue with that.

so the world history is your fave? or, least hated?
i always enjoyed history but we never could spend as much time as i'd hoped on certain topics, too much to cover

how much longer til you finish this program?

Math was always my favorite subject growing up. I like playing around with numbers and I'm pretty good at it. Plus my math teacher is hella cool. Math is probably my favorite class so far. I only been to history once, and we didn't learn shit about history. We was talking about drugs and how his drugs growing up is different from the drugs out here now. So the jury is still out on the history class. I'm very interested in English because I want to become a better writer. My English teacher said that she likes my writing style, I just have to become a better speller. But no doubt that environmental science is my least favorite. I don't think it so much of the subject, but more so of the classroom and the teacher.

I really don't know how long I have to be there. It depends on how quick I get my credits. I think I need 115 credits, and I only have 5. Someone told me that I will be there for 2 years, but I don't know for sure.

December 11th.

...a part of my upbringing.

It astonishes me to see stuff I've known about since childhood become the subject of widespread public interest and fascination. In each case, I was dumbfounded and amazed that people didn't already know about these things.

As a child, I was surrounded by the (U.S.) Civil War/War Between The States/War of Northern Aggression and knew all about it. Then, along comes Ken Burns.

I knew all about Seabiscuit because I read a book about the horse as a child. Then, along come Laura Hillenbrand.

The saga of the whale-ship Essex was common knowledge in my family. Then, along comes Nathaniel Philbrick.

I feel the same when people knock on my door and ask if I have heard the good news about Jesus. 'News'?

Seriously, people, get the box set.

What for? Quite evidently, they've been conditioned to understand that, eventually, someone will bring it to them.

Rainy, chilly days are perfectly accompanied by a roaring fire, good, preferably naked, company, and a bottle of wine.

I unexpectedly ended up with a singles tennis match tonight. That's good. It means I don't have to go run on the hamster wheel.

cool that you like math so much. it's much more useful in everyday life than people tend to think.
if.you ever get an interest, the history of mathematics is pretty fascinating too

they say that to be a better writer, you have to read a lot.
are you reading much as part of your english class?

Here comes the dangerous time of the year for putting on weight.

I broke down Friday night and had some pizza. The previous Monday I succumbed to the temptation of some smashed potatoes.

I've already added 1½ pounds to the low I attained in mid-November and a BMI of 19.4. At that point, I weighed a mere 15 pounds more than I did when I was 22.

I've been particularly physically active this year. Most of it was fun. I really need to be extra-disciplined in the winter so I don't have to retake the same ground come spring.

Oooh! May I come over?:D

Me, too!! Maybe we could invite Kowboy and figure this whole double Dutch thing out? Triple Dutch?

Good point, I suppose. I just loathe the assumption that I can only be agnostic because I haven't read the Bible. It's such a ridiculous logic-fail.

Yes, I have encountered the same.
