I like my down comforter for every season. Being pregnant changed me into the dang princess and the pea, so no clothes, no wrinkles.

A nice down duvet is awesome. We have a super lightweight, yet toasty fuzzy blanket at the cabin over the fleece sheets. It works for a wide variety of temperatures. With wood heat, and low temps, that first night out there on a trip in winter can be a bit brizzly.

I bet. It's just starting to get down in the 20s here. Time to change to a heavier duvet.

We just leave the bedroom thermostat set at 64°F.

At the cabin, the temperature inside is basically the afternoon air temperature if we arrive in the evening. If it's -20 when we get there, that first night can be a chilly one. The wood stove is a good one, but the damn cabin is just too big to warm up quickly.

Here too!

I know. Time to start warring socks as well. Last Sunday I did not even wear a coat. I'll take this kind of November always. I just hope it doesn't unleash a torrent of snow while we're traveling next week.

It's really not.

If I've got to bail out of the house on the quick I'm not stopping to throw on clothes.

It probably is. :)

Just grab your duvet!

I've lived in earthquake country all my life, I'm not going to start wearing a nighty now.

Do you have a split system?

I've never gotten around to programming ours in this house when we got a new furnace. I really ought to do that.

No it really is not.

You live through a couple big ones you learn to take precautions.

The house has hydronic radiant floors, 3 zones upstairs; master bedroom, master bath and the rest of the upstairs. One zone for the garage and one for the downstairs.

Nice! We had two at our last house. We had them rough it in before we did the master in the walk-in attic when we replaced the furnace.

I could kill for radiant floor heating.
