Gianbattista

Waving now:rose::heart::kiss:

We need Poet though, to make our wave trio complete. I NEED poet to see this thread :heart:

Lol
No, Elle. You're a rock star now.
I'm staying away so as not to have you cursed by association.
I'll be up here in the bleachers waving though.

I'm not a rock star poet and don't you stay away. You are my friend. If others don't see eye to eye with you that's your business with them, but we are friends. :heart::rose: :kiss:

Dang it, ya just killed a beautiful thread. Love ya dear friend!
Now shhhh.....maybe it can be revived.

But with over fussy bed linen? :D.

Gianbattista is a man of culture and benefitted from wonderful education and opportunity. He has strong will to do what is right and and has gentle humour. Very few people who know him dislike him. An ex boss once admitted he was intimidated by his 'quiet experience'. Things like, G not buying the most expensive bottles of wine, :rolleyes:but the one's that appealed the most . I am truly lucky to be married to man who I love, and like, and learn from and who can discuss art or music with but also be ridiculous with. Who shares life with me sensually and makes me feel as desired by him as when ...I was desirable! :D. I could rave about Gianbattista for the rest of my life.

But he does put the laundry in really odd places. :confused:

Does he like cheese?

You have no idea, his love for cheese is embarrassing. The people at fortnums cheese counter know him by name, and someone at an Indy cheese shop we haven't been to for a while ( G is on a sort of sabbatical and so income is lower ATM) ran after him a few months ago with some free cheese for us. Actually, they gave him some cheese I'd like. :heart:. He tells people off gently if they do not like cheese.

This man is a god. Bring him here!

I adore your flowers thread and the passage about your pear loving horse is one of the most beautiful things I've read on here, or indeed anywhere. :heart:

Poetry.

That's such a great story. Cheese is as fascinating as wine to me. The smell, the flavor, texture, the way it compliments other foods. When I go to wine events the cheese is always the star attraction to me. The wine doesn't hurt but its second fiddle.

Oh, she was such a friend. I miss her. Increasingly I think maybe I should get a pair of cobs to drive and to have for guests who want to ride, and G to potter on, I could drive one he could ride, that could be odd. I hated driving when I tried it, though, felt....awkward, out of control, remote. I miss having my own. I went from having so many, to just a couple, and now none. But they won't be her, and its her I miss really. :eek:. I could never sell her. I was offered a ridiculous sum for her twice, and a well known breeder wanted to take her babies and put them in other mares. Maybe I wish we had done that, but we didn't. I left her for a number of years with a friend of a friend, when I visited she would bellow and shout. I always thought she'd forget me eventually, but she never did, she'd roll me around roughly with her head and neck then pull me in to her chest, and then push me towards her flank, almost as if she wanted me to reach down and suckle. She was rough with me, but never hurt me, but she knew her strength and was proud of it.

Thank you for bringing her strongly to mind :heart:

Some animals are just a one-off. I loved all my cats but Snowy was like that for me. There will never be another like him. I miss him all the time.

Have you ever read Chosen By A Horse by Susan Richards? It's a true story about a woman's love for her horse. It's beautiful and heartbreaking. When I finished it I couldn't get it out of my head. I think you might love it too.

Elle is polite, inteligent, warm and very generous in how she treats other posters here. she's a most welcome addition to the boards, acting towards a balance to the vocal ugliness that posts.

:rose::rose:

Thank you.

I behaved poorly at the weekend in fact, and this prompted G and I to consider how strong my self restraint was and how wise it was for me to test it. I told fata I might disappear from GB for a while, so she did this. :eek:. I am still shocked and awed its not full of people vying for ways to berate me in the most ugly manner. :D

Thank you all. :heart: Now I have to be better behaved . :rolleyes: to stay and laugh with you all. I hope my tongue doesn't suffer from the biting of it :D
if you did, certainly didn't see it, Elle.

and sometimes it's fine to speak up on issues with a little passion; it doesn't mean you lack control. :rose:

Put me in the category that finds it icky for a couple to share an account. I mean.. they're free.

It's me, not you though.

I believe strongly that individual members of a couple should maintain their own identities.
