Apparently, these folks favor Jim Crow.
According to The Black Tribune‘s reporting of the event, “We are not fighting to reform or support the oppressive systems that academia upholds. We are fighting for more spaces where black and brown students are safe and no longer targeted, terrorized and traumatized.”
Or would that be John Crow? I wonder what they would say about the U. establishing a space where white students "are safe and no longer targeted, terrorized and traumatized."

Maybe there is more to the story than what you wrote above but what you wrote above doesn't fit that criteria. Let's break this down a bit.
Generally when people (in the US) say brown people they mean Latin America. While yes Middle Easterners and various Asians are also brown that's not who we're talking about when we say black and brown. And hispanics are generally NOT covered as bruddahs (seriously the accepted spelling is brothas) and sistas. So nope dot com.
Second wanting a safe place does not say anything about whites not being welcome in these places. I don't need an absence of whites to feel safe. I need an absence of Confederate flags though. So still not segregation. But I just read your blurb, maybe there is a lot more. Probably not.
