Do you have a Stantec office near you? They just swallowed up one of my clients but seem to be a decent firm and they kept all local in employees.

Stantec bought a firm I was working for. They didn't have any layoffs. Attrition took care of that. Going from a hundred person firm to an organization with 10,000 employees is just such a massive cultural shift.

They wouldn't touch this project but that's a really good suggestion! I like them, they don't do a lot of work with me because my deadlines are usually so tight, I'd have to contract them about 4 or 5 months before I could even award. They are a good company though.


In the end I had to use my VDC guys with 3 other firms to get the plan ready for GMP. We're fine now but a new client plus a tight schedule plus a state I don't normally work in plus a laborer shortage have made my life hell.
