I posted 2 stories yesterday. One at erotic horror, one at loving wives. The EH score is significantly higher than the LW score. But LW reads are 10 times greater than EH reads.

LW comments are wild. And I recognize some of you tho you post as anonymous. I warned readers to prance over to the poetry side if noire disturbs them. They wont. Theyre like nice girls with crack habits.

Yeah, and the LW comments are sometimes longer than the chapter/story.

LW is what it is. The place is like a biker bar. Don't go there for praise and high scores. When I deleted JAMESBJOHNSON I was getting 20000 reads the first day. NOIRETRASH got 7500 for the first day. LW is for reputation and reads.

I'm curious,

Who do you think enjoys your LW story?

Is there a particular psychological profile or socioeconomic group that is your target audience.

Yes, I read your piece, and I thought it read kind of like porn for people who own a copy of the Turner Diaries.

I haven't read his story yet, but your comment made me think. I've got a bunch of LW stories in the works, whether I finish them or not is another thing. But when I decide to read Lit, I do enjoy a wallow in the LW on occasion.

And I did, and maybe do have a copy of the Turner Diaries. Probably in a box down in the basement. Next to the freeze dried food, and the water, and the ammo cans.

I don't know that anyone enjoys it but plenty read it. I suspect plenty enjoy how it violates all the PC rules. The characters I populate my writing with cant care less about offending others. I write what I know.

Yep there is probably a particular psychological profile that likes his story. And it would probably scare the hell out of 90% of the people in the world. :D

And you look every time.

Probably not. Probably like me, he's stopped looking at the "it's all about me" threads JBJ initiates and only encounters him on other threads. I'd put him on ignore again but there for a while we were getting a new JBJ account twice a day and it seemed like leading us by the nose to do ignore yet again was just another one of his attention-begging ploys.

I was thinking about writing up a LW story but I'm afraid that the crazy would bleed off/into my other stories. It's a little frightening that the site allows such open threats/bashing.

Are there any good results from the LW stories? Or do the trolls just feast on those things?

I got a Green E on a LW story once, which was gratifying as I went for exactly what I thought Laurel would have in mind for a story in that category. All of my LW stories ignore poking the trolls and go for what I think the category means. And, for the most part, the LW trolls have ignored my stories there.

Married extra-marital fun: swinging, sharing & more.

Just what do you think the category means? I really am curious because while I've always thought the category was pretty well defined, I see a lot of people posting comments that indicate they think it is very different from what I think.

I read it as a wife engaging in infidelity (or being pulled back from the attraction of) it for a reason that is still loving toward the husband. The wife somehow has to be loving for the category title to be valid.

The Green E one, as I recall, is a disabled professor who has a young wife and is all strung up about keeping her happy even though he can't do her and pushes her into an affair (which can provide good sex scenes), with her going along with it to keep him happy even though she doesn't consider it necessary.

Another one that I've just published is a Rhine cruise where a dying man who was gay but married for someone to take care of him (which she's done lovingly), hires a gigolo to do her to encourage her just not to be an empty widow, having devoted her whole life to him, when he dies. (The gigolo winds up doing them both--the dying man as a last present; the wife as a "loosen up and live now").

It could also mean a straight "she's good to her man" story, which would be a loving wife, but most plots I can think for that have no sexual tension (not saying that one couldn't be devised--my muse just hasn't dropped one yet).

To see how I handle it, you could go look at my file. Don't worry, the stories won't bite. Sure must of my stories in this account are GM, but there still are over a 100 straight ones there (which is more than most posting to Lit. have in their file altogether). I posted a straight first time one today that dredged up an old memory of mine (but pushed the envelope on it).

First off, you just said your self you wrote the story based on what you thought one person would like. A brown nose will always get a green E.

But also that story is from 2009. To say the category has gone downhill since then would be a huge understatement. If you re-posted the story now as a new one, the trolls would find something to slam about it.

Feeling your nasty oats today, I see. Recovering from having all your old friends on here dump you?

As I posted, probably not. Although I could see that you can't resist.

Just like you and TX can never resist posting after JBJ even though you both talk about how full of crap he is.

But its too much to ask that people find that out for themselves, you have to keep telling everyone.

JB has been ringing Pavlov's bell for the two of you for years and you're both conditioned to respond.
