See, I'm on the opposite side of that coin.
I prefer MFM, because MFF tends to turn into a "take turns" event (though I admit I've only had two experiences with MFF).

My BF told me about when he and his brother shared an apartment back when he was in college. They once dated the same woman, and a few times they all three hooked up.

When his brother came for a visit, we all hooked up. It has become a semi regular occurrence.

The thought of a mfm sounds scary to me! I guess my biggest fear would be if they didn't stop if my safe word escaped my lips!
I enjoyed the FFMs I took part of very much though. I was the odd one out in each, the other pair being the couple, minimal male contact because of boundaries set before hand. I'm surprised that "The 69 + 1" has taken such a considerable lead in the poll. I've found several problems with it. Mechanically, it only works well if I stay essentially still or thrust very slowly or gently, which can be nice for a while, but makes it a poor finishing position. The greater problem is emotional. With this position, everyone's excluded from any of the eye contact and facial expressions that play such a key role in intimacy. It all becomes very isolating.

Admittedly, my favorite position, "The Double Cowgirl," does the same thing somewhat to me, but knowing and hearing that the ladies above me are sharing that intimacy inspired largely by my sexual contact with them more than compensates for that. For this reason, "The Voyeur" runs a very close second for me.

The bottom line is, however, that a successful threesome requires a very speacial and somewhat rare kind of shared love for all involved. If you have that, you're going to naturally find the style of lovemaking that keeps everyone satisfied.
 
Ours have probably been more of the voyeur, with the voyeur giving the occasional touch, lick or suck.

I've had a few MFF & MFM's, and it surprised me that the MFM's were far easier to pull off.
