Great thread, Sybarite.

My take on it is that sometimes I'm stunned by some of the things that keep floating in the GB about the -nonexistent, in my real world- gender wars.
- On one hand you have the "millionaire matchmaker" approach, where you read all that silly gossip or where women are told "Playground to the left".
- On the other hand, you have quite a few posters who describe women as these somehow ethereal, unattainable Syrens and men as bumbling teenage fools who are tripping over in order to 'get some'.

Is this for pure entertainment and drama (my guess) or do some GBers occasionally really believe in these things? Not always sure which is which, but it's great fun, tho. Helps me escape from my occasionally drab existence.
