So...you're on your way home.

He feels as much a victim as the girls that were attacked!?

Seriously?

I'm a guy. I'm quite accustomed to women thinking the worst of me, and dealing with it in a gracious way. But this guy -- really? Maybe he needs to see what it feels like to be viciously attacked by someone twice your size. Just maybe.

I think that having admitted in the tweet that conditions in Cardiff were threatening justified the woman feeling threatened to be followed at night. He should have become less threatening somehow--slowed or crossed the street and slowed.

Tough one because if that were the situation I would want to keep her in sight.

I would feel bad if I made her nervous, but would feel a hell of a lot worse if she left my sight and I read about her the next day.

So I think I would drift behind her until she got where she was going.

But I do see some limited plot bunnies for the limited intelligence of the rape writers here.

Yeah, typical 'real man' the woman's fear is an offense to him. Guy needs a back hander across the lips

You're a well-built man. It's past midnight, and you're in a rush. You see a woman in front of you.

There's been a series of sex attacks in the area.

As you walk faster, so does she.

What do you do?

There's a few plot bunnies there for you.

Been there more than once and as soon as I realized that I was unintentionally unnerving her, once I crossed the street and the other time, I simply stopped and gave her a chance to get farther along. My interesting in getting from Point A to Point B wasn't that important that I couldn't add a few seconds to it.

As for the person in the link - he needs to get over himself. Apologizing for frightening her? Sure, that's a nice gesture. But suggest that he was being unfairly profiled by her? Big foul, dude.
