Don't watch Empire. I don't like Terrence Howard one little bit.
I do like baseball but as a lifelong Cubs fan I have recently developed a hatred for the Mets and I've never liked the Royals so the Series isn't interesting to me this year.

Just re-watched "Blade runner" after reading the suggestions from the "Favorite movies" thread. Awesome movie! Hard to believe it was made in '82.. Beats so many contemporary movies in terms of plot, special effects, etc. So it was rightfully nominated as one of the best sci-fi movies, indeed.

Basketball is way way better than baseball. In baseball you sit in front of the TV for 4 hours to watch someone score 3 points.

Canada is allowed to play if they can field a team. Doesn't happen too often though.
Well, that came out of left field, but I agree, and if you really like neo-noir check out Body Heat, another of my favorites from the early eighties. Actually, that and Blade Runner are two of my favorite movies, period. Body Heat is one of the few movies I've watched many times and appreciate more each time I watch it.

That's true but only about 7 Americans can play hockey and maybe 12 watch it on a regualr basis so it doesn't hurt our feelings too much.
