I think it used to be the fall back date for birthdays in the LIT, if a person didn't give their birthday. 1969 was the fall back year for members joining for a while too. Not sure if either is current.

Most places if you don't put in a birthdate or don't want it displayed it defaults to maybe January 1 or December 21.

For some reason this forum defaults to November 30th, so you see that on a lot of profiles.
