Random Acts Of Kindness

'tis indeed what makes The World go round ...or at least it ought to be.

I was fortunate enough to receive one today ...and in return stopped to take a photo for a young couple
who were clearly very much in love (it does happen, apparently) but couldn't quite work out how to take a selfie of themselves outside Houses of Parliament in London.

Examples, please,of your recent kindness acts either as a giver or as a receiver...

I saw recently, at the supermarket, some larger (1-2 liters, I think) german beer containers with a tap. I bought one, out of curiosity. I didn't like it, tho, so instead of letting it go to waste/throwing it away, I put it on the pavement in front of my house.
Less than an hour later, I took a peek, and it was gone!!
Perhaps becsuse I live close to a student area.

There's a blowjob story idea, behind this random act of kindness philosophy.

Not a big deal but I gave the last couple of bucks I had in my pocket to a down on his luck fellow so he could take the bus home.

That's exactly the sort of thing,I meant!😀

doesn't hurt to be kind to others - it's nice to see people happy.

an elderly lady, in her nineties, bought a couple of pieces in our shop and had a little chat. she asked me to get her purse out for her, so i did and made sure her bag was zipped up afterwards.

an hour or so later the manager of the card shop next door told me they had this old lady in there, very angry and distressed. she'd got some photocopies done there before shopping at mine and now couldn't find the original document.

they brought her in and i sat her down, made her a cup of tea whilst listening to what the problem was. poor woman had mislaid the original document she needed, which was to do with the death/cremation of her daughter and she needed it to get her daughter's ashes placed in the church graveyard.she was convinced the card shop must still have it!

i got her to verbally retrace her steps, but she was confused. she didn't want me to call anyone so i let her regain her composure as we spoke about what to do next. i told her the document was probably indoors, but if it wasn't to talk with her vicar as he'd be sure to know which steps she needed to take next. and to let her family know what had happened. so, just a cup of tea, an ear and a few suggestions later, she left.

an hour later, the card shop manager returned to let me know the customer had called them to apologise - all was well, she'd found it indoors after all.

such small acts, as we should hope anyone would extend to one of our own, cost nothing except maybe a little of our time.

I regularly leave the house, in order to bless the local peasantry with a glimpse of rare perfection. I demand nothing in return except blind, unreasoning worship.

I loved Butters' story, except that over the last thirty years the relentless drive of short-term profit has driven the possibility of giving up time from most of our working lives.

I blame the bloody Internet for stealing our time!😉

I just try to periodically pay for the car behind me at a drive-through. I prefer the anonymity.

My car is at repairs. So I took the bus, the other day, and it was pretty much terrible. All that crowd with mothers on welfare and grandmas packed like sardines and grinding against each other, whimpering kids, and smells… It was getting to me, I was starting to get a headache.
Luckily, an nice gentleman got up and offered me his seat. That was really nice of him to do so.

How do you know the mothers were on welfare?
