Posting a story for the first time

Hello, I'm trying to post a story for the first time on this site.

I have logged into my account through the main website, clicked submit, then submit story, entered the info(title, description, tags, and then the text of the actual story), then hit preview to await approval.

This is where I am confused. I have put in my text which is approximately a full 6 pages in Google Docs and it all shows. Then when I hit preview, it only shows text as far as about half of the first page.

This has happened when I try to copy and paste the text as is, and when I upload through a .txt file. Is there something wrong, or is this completely normal?

Use Ctrl A in google docs to copy the entire document. Then paste that into the text box.

You must realize that a Lit page is approx. 3700 words. I don't know how google docs does pages, but I assume that it is broken up for a standard 8.5 x 11 inch pages or A4 pages depending on your settings.

After a suggestion, I just submitted the file as a .Docx to be handled by a person. I hesitated about doing this, because I don't like creating work for someone to do.

Well my total words were in the 2800s. a good deal of punctuation was made by dialogue. Also the problem came up when after I hit the preview button. When I copied the text then pasted it, everything looked fine. Because this is my very first time posting to Literotica, and I am just beginning to learn how everything works I thought I would ask.

I did look through the FAQ on the forums and the memberpage before I submitted my story, and I found nothing before I posted my question. Mind you I am very tired, and have had maybe 10 hours total sleep since Saturday, I will admit a possibility of my missing something.

Unfortunately, they don't except .docx files. Only .doc files. Word 97 compatible .doc files.
