Proof: Women still discriminate against men based on their height.

i just gotta say that i think it's cute that dude thinks sex robots are going to be some revolutionary thing and not something that anyone with even a single shred of dignity will avoid like the fucking plague.

Sex robots will just be high tech inflatable dolls. Very silly to think they would ever replace a real person for the average Joe or Jill. As you said, nobody with any dignity would use one on a regular basis. Many will just to try it but they won't tell anyone.

Honestly though, who gives a shit about what some stupid study says? It certainly is a waste of time crying about it..

There's no study in the article. Just the author talking to, from what I can tell, three of her friends.

This is really just about LJ being a fucking dateless loser. Watch his next thread will be all about the good Paul Elam does for men.

well, maybe, but when you realize that a real doll costs like five grand and it doesn't even move, talk or interact with you in anyway you have to wonder just how much a sexbot would cost you. that alone is enough to make the idea that they'll ever even really being anything but a freakish novelty absolutely ridiculous. add in the dignity factor and yeah, no. sexbots are never really going to ever be a thing.

Yeah, the cost would certainly be prohibitive. I still think the novelty factor would cause many people to try it but you're right, probably only if they have a rich friend who already has one and even then it's not going to replace anyone.

Sex robots will not become popular overnight. The first generation will only appeal to men on the margins. But future generations will weigh the cost/benefit ratio and as the quality goes up, dignity will be irrelevant.

Male unemployment is going to skyrocket in the next century as automation eliminates the entire concept of work. 75% of women won't date unemployed men. The only option many men will have is sex robots. And they will become quite cheap a century from now.

Plus, sex robots are far less hassle. Cost/benefit and all.

The word you're looking for here is erosion, and sex robots will erode women's vast advantages in the dating game. Mainly, women will lose by default - women won't even want the vast majority of men a century from now. Fun fact: Women don't want 80% of men as it stands - they only settle for them when the top 20% is unavailable.

You can't possibly believe what you write.

Why not? Because a feminist minion like you has your head up your ass?

Women have way the hell too much power. Sex robots would introduce competition.

If I was wrong then why is there already a feminist panic over sex robots?

Hell, we're close to artificial wombs, too. We may be approaching peak womankind. (So much for feminists declaring the end of men!)

Holy cow.

No, I actually have read about artificial wombs and if I were going to be alive when they happen then it might be a concern of some sort although I can't imagine what it would be. Whole thing seems like a grand idea but you and I will not see it happen in any meaningful way.
Nope, my comment was about your incredible fascination over sex robots. It's a fantasy. You should deal with that because it's not healthy.

He reads it all on various men's rights activists sites. It's complete bullshit. Don't believe a word LJ says because he's been proven, repeatedly, to be a complete liar and troll.

Not to mention dateless.

Oh, the world is such an unfair place... Discrimination everywhere. People, especially women, discriminate based on height, weight, looks, wealth, health, IQ - without any reason or justification... Oh wait... That's called Natural Selection, and, with any luck, it never stops working or else mankind as a species is doomed.

...

DOOOooooomed!!! (C)

That's stupid. I discriminate based on IQ because I want to be with someone with whom I can have lively conversation and a meaningful connection. How is that without reason or justification?

Yes, they do. No way of getting around that.

However, for a guy, being confident and having social connections is way, way more important than looks.
