Umpqua

I have a safe full of guns and ammo, but the only thing I would admit to owning to a stranger is the .22 that I keep by the back door for critter control.

;)

A guess is not a fact. You and every other person on the planet has no idea who in America does and who does not own a gun. Your talking point comes from surveys where an anonymous voice on the phone calls with a survey and includes the question, "Do you have any firearms in the house?"

Do you suppose the answer to that would tend to be accurate? Do you often reveal your security measures to strangers over the phone? Do you often feel the need to let a stranger on the phone know what, if any, valuables are kept in your home? How about felons with guns? Do you suppose they answered affirmatively?

Obama has been credited with selling more guns to America than any ad campaign, ever. In this environment where he chooses to vilify gun owners and demand they register, demand even more intrusive background checks, do you actually think that people are looking for ways to have FFL cards attached to their gun purchases?

It has long been shown that it is statistically impossible for the vast numbers of guns out there to be in the hands of the very few that answer affirmatively to that question.

In, hardly conservative, Connecticut alone, under threat of a felony by not disclosing ownership to the government that asserts the right to know, about 4% of estimated gun owners complied

Your stating that as a "fact" shows you know absolutely nothing about gun owners.
I agree. The majority of gun owners are paranoid, anti-government NRA shills.

You have that backwards. The NRA is a (paid) shill for gun owners. Given that 40% of the population and a much higher percentage than that of government officials are in favor of a wide range of "controls" aimed at lawful gun owners, it is not "paranoia" to be circumspect about such people.

Paranoia, is the sort of thing anti-gun nuts such as yourself engage in when they fail to realize that they are much more likely to be killed by their neighbors car than their neighbors gun.

The fact is that liberals have already not only surrendered to servitude, they have embraced it. They have bought the lie that government is the solution, rather than the cause of nearly every problem which besets this country. They are fine with fewer rights, because they seem to think that the government they worship and depend upon would never turn on them when the money dries up or the issue becomes which priority a totalitarian regime will indulge: freebies to its supporters or its own self-preservation at the barrel of a gun. They see that same paternal government targeting their philosophical enemies, conservatives, and think that because they are politically aligned, it is perfectly fine that government targets some of its citizens. They don’t understand that a time will come when such a government doesn’t need liberals, either.

^^^ sounds like neverendingjenn.

And here's the headline of the article AJ c&p'd

Gun Control' Is Actually Conservative Control

He was too ashamed to link the headline.

No, I know that. And I know that I can usually dodge my neighbor's car, but wouldn't have a chance against his gun.

Jeez, the stupidity is thick this morning.

Is this the same voice being thrown around as the end-all voice of how US citizens view gun laws? Is this the same voice that still has land-lines and bomb shelters?

Sort of hypocritical to pick and choose when the voice is relevant or not, no?

Sorry to interrupt you babbling retards, but I liked the shooter's father on TV this weekend, bemoaning how the gubbermint let his son buy 14 guns without the father noticing.

Hilarious!

And the father didn't notice why?

;)

Broken home, not involved, not a role model, not even remotely American...

Guns last a very long time, normally. I don't know how many have been manufactured in the US over the last century or century and a half or more, or imported from elsewhere, but I'm confident most of them are still around, somewhere. They don't die in seventy or eighty years, like people do. It would surprise me greatly if there aren't a lot more guns than people in this country. A whole lot more, in fact. And only a very small percentage of them are ever used to kill innocent human beings, such as in this case.

Totally! Casualties of War, right? Mushrooms, right? They don't matter, right? That 5 year-old girl comes from a long line of pro-gun lineage and would have happily died for Americans right to bear arms, right?

No.

Whether one favors new legislation restricting gun laws is not at all the same as answering whether you personally possess, carry, or lock up your guns.

Using the talking points form the left, supposedly only 1/3 of Americans and 46% of men have firearms. 63% of the public is opposed to gun control. Meaning that 1/2 the people answering the question against gun control, also say they have no firearms in the house, when asked.

Let me ask you: Are you for or against armed robbery? Does anyone in your shop ever possess a firearm? What are your business hours? Do you have security cameras? How long is footage retained? Is the recording device located inside of a locked cabinet? Do you have alarms? Do you have Schlage, Kwickset or Medico locks? Do you have a safe? Do you have armored car pick-up or do you make deposits yourself?

Oh, I see so all the American's that die in auto-accidents it is their fault for not being nimble enough to "dodge."

Kudos though on admitting your stupidity in the very same post.

"Wouldn't have a chance against his gun!!!" Some reason, other than paranoia to suspect that your neighbor would discharge his gun your direction?

You've been watching Pawn Stars! 'Fess up!

The great Australian roundup netted about one-fourth of the guns. In the US, it will be a lot less, for one thing all of the minority bangers will be protected by the don't ask, don't tell, don't profile meme of the modern Liberal. Conservatives are the target in the crosshairs and Liberal hate and angst because conservatives refuse to conform to the uniformity of Liberal Stalinism...

If you haven't noticed, pro-lifer busybody sure gets upset over gun deaths in Chicago.

Silly. Every drug dealer has a gun.

It's like Powersemen trying to gather intel.

Your links (or lack thereof) do not reflect "The Left Talking Points." It makes basing your statistics on what a girl wants seem silly.

In Austrailia they had national registration. They had bought the assurances that it was "only" registration. Even with theoretically every gun registered they only got 1/4. I guess the "paranoid" Aussies that warned what registration leads to weren't vocal enough.
