Is there a point of view tag that can be added to the search filter?

I prefer third person and would really love that option.

I know what you mean. I can't read anything that isn't in the second person plural, myself. Not even this comment, or, in fact, yours.

I dunno about the searching, but I absolutely hate first person written books.

I know its big in the self publishing world, but I want to just once not have to read my were books this way.

The story tags are chosen by authors when they submit the story. Although there is advice given on how to choose tags, I don't think tagging POV is one of them. The story database is big and the software is old, so I don't envisage a change being made soon. Also, one would need to work through the database adding tags by hand.

When I edit other authors' stories, I find that third-person POV is often the most poorly written, especially when the narrator is an omniscient, impersonal observer. I can understand why third-person narrative can be attractive to those who wish a more voyeuristic experience. I prefer the immediacy of first-person narrative.

No, they're still amusing.
Correct. Some here are irony-deprived, i.e. unimaginative spads.

ObTopic: If the author didn't add a POV tag then it ain't there and since hardly anybody does and Laurel+Manu won't run magickal AI warez to analyze and tag each story and we don't have a resident Maxwell's Demon to sort things out for us then we just gotta read'em ourselves. How tedious.

Meanwhile, a POV primer:

1st person: I suck.
2nd person: You suck.
3rd person (limited): They suck.
3rd person (omniscient): They all suck.
4th person: Sucking is integral to the process.

See, that's easy.

Fourth-person narrative is the going place of the next writing delivered by the writer this writer shall be.
