Will he return? I hope so. Anyone who rose to his bait, almost deserved to be hooked. And, anyway, I'm pretty sure that he was/is a practitioner of 'catch and release'. After he has had his sport, you still got to fight another day. :)
 
I don't know whether to laugh or cry at the posts on this thread.

It never occurred to me anyone gave a fat rats ass about my comings or goings.

Anyway, deleting JAMESBJOHNSON was the quick fix for many of my LIT issues but LIT is about as boring as can be, especially with the new kiss every ass policy at AH. For all intents and purposes the General Board is now The Playground. The rot is everywhere. I pulled my plug after my eyes glazed over from seeing (I never read the shit) all the usual suspects and their buckets of slops.

I always said JAMESBJOHNSON was my sketchpad, not a gallery, tho plenty of you used it for graffiti. But its time to try new things where your spray paint cant go. I want to write better not obsess about your whining and PC bull shit.

I think it frustrates you that people liked him because since you didn't it seems in your mind no one should.

JBJ was a troll persona, a performance poster who always got results and as you see many here saw that and even people who didn't care for it, admit he was good enough at it that it lent him a certain charm.

Sam said it best that people who took the bat deserved to be hooked, but for the most part he would back off unless people-like yourself-took him so seriously you could never see the real game

JBJ was the school yard bully, he gave you shit and if you ignored him it stopped or better yet, laughed at him, he would end up laughing with you. Many people got that, a few didn't.

I'm not surprised you're upset and jealous that people liked his act.

He was a purposeful nasty piece of crap and he doesn't frustrate me (I rarely responded to his incessant attacking) half as much as those here do whose ox wasn't being gored so they could enjoy his crap.

(And his comment in coming back in another name pretty much supports what I suggested was the reason he pulled out--he doesn't like the new policy about not personally attacking. It's his bread and butter and there are folks here who enjoy that as long as it's not them being attacked.)

Oh, he gored my ox(I need to write that one down, thanks) big time when I came here. I think according to him my name here my first year was "your writing sucks"

But I recognize when I'm being baited and know how not to rise to it for the most part-unless I choose to bait back-so he never bothered me.

A long time ago there was this test-not getting into why we did this except we were dumb-someone had a a gallon container filled with maggots. There was a marble in there and you had to fish around until you found it, then you got a prize.

I was one of the few that had the stomach to do it and I liken that to JBJ. Fish through all his contrived-and it is-snark and spew and you find some good advice.

He does know a lot about writing and he has some good takes on things-again wade through-but not everyone wants to stick their hand in the jar.

You yourself said you liked his writing style so I do think he contributed here, people just had to go through the maze to find the good stuff.

As far as your last remark. Why would coming back in another name matter? Same rules apply to old and new. Unless you are on the GB then you can be a raging sexist racist homophobe stalking and bullying and that's fine.

JBJ, you read a lot and some of the things you talk about are interesting from the point of view of a reader. If you had stuck to that and left the bullshit on the side you could have been a good addition to the AH. As it was, you came across as a mean spirited asshole whose only pleasure was pissing people off.

The new rules weren't to your liking and so many people had you on ignore, so you changed names. Good luck.

Just my two cents worth.

Maybe, one day, you'll learn from your past mistakes. Maybe but not likely.

I've never been popular. I'm the guy you want when the toilet is fulla shit. My old lady tried to kill me a few times, and everyone with an itch seems to find me tho I stay home and mind my business. I'm beyond changing hearts and minds to luv me. I make it easy for them that's predisposed to be arrogant. Like you, dear. I have your measure, and you got mine. With this rebranding of JAMESBJOHNSON, a request:

  • I am not a fan, but I will acknowledge that whether it was meds wearing off, meds taking effect, or persona(lity?) number 1 of 27 shining through, you occasionally make lucid comments.
  • What if, personality number 1 writes in green, and all the others use black? Then at a glance, readers who are accustomed to you can say, "Oh, it's in green, I'll read", and otherwise just skip over?
  • As far as the threads you create: No changes necessary, the personality in charge is self evident. :rolleyes:
  • This benefits you too: You'd be listened to more when you're being a normal human being, and nothing at all would change the rest of the time. :D

Why because every Internet poster so obviously craving attention as he does wants to know what they'll say about him after he's gone/dead. That's pretty standard Internet behavior.

He craves pushing his schtick until he gets banned and he can notch up another Web site not good enough for him. I predict he'll push the envelope under this new name. (Incidentally, look when he established the name. This isn't a spur of the moment action.)

I have doubts this new alt is even JBJ. Maybe it's someone else, having a laugh, taking on his "persona".
