Recruitment and posting notes
To join:
- Read up on the IC thread to ensure this is something in which you wish to be involved.
- PM the host for a character sheet.
- Fill it out, get it approved, post it.
- Have fun.
- There is no minimum reply frequency.
- However, don't hold up the other writers when they require your post to continue.
- There is no reply length requirement except as noted below.
- Please don't post novel length replies. Be reasonable.
- On the other hand, please don't flood the IC thread with short little back and forth posts between yourself and another writer.
- If you and another writer are going to exchange a series of replies that do not involve other writers:
- Please start what we call a scene thread, a separate thread that you link to the IC Thread at the appropriate place in the time line.
- Exchange your dozens of back and forth posts there.
- When your scene is concluded and you are ready to go back to the IC Thread, indicate this in the last post.
- Easy peasy.
- "Rise of the Crazies" will consist of a core IC thread linked to many scene threads.
- There will be some basic facts that apply to all writers, all threads, all replies, such as what a Crazy is, what the date is, whether the weather is fair or stormy, so on and such forth.
- To create consistency and prevent confusion, it would be nice is writer would:
- First, know those details. That is as simple as looking at the first page of the "HOT" thread, where -- once I have this role play again up and running -- such details will be front and center.
- Second, do not make up details that affect other writers without clearing them first. You can't just decide that it's going to snow 10 inches without asking first.
- If you do not wish to follow these facts, that is totally and absolutely your call. But your facts will not work with those the other writers are using, and then what kind of group role play is that?
