Vice President Joe Biden ‘edging closer’ to jumping into 2016 presidential race

Old Hansom Joe is thinking about it. With Hilz slipping and Sanders not quite there yet, there is room for another Wall Street Shill in the race.

The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Vice President Joe Biden is very close to entering the race for the 2016 Democratic presidential nomination.

According to reports from sources close to the campaign, advisers to Biden are debating the best time to make the announcement ensuring that he would be able to participate in the Democratic debate on Oct. 30.

Currently the field contains former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley, Rhode Island Gov. Lincoln Chafee, and Virginia Senator Jim Webb.

The guy is too stupid for his own good.....its late, he is too late. He couldnt set up an election machine to really compete with Hillary. He needs money for that, how much has he raised so far?

So why waste people's time except it would be good for Hillary if he were at the debates.

I mean, shit or get off the pot for christ sake!

He's got till the end of the month at best to decide. He's already missed his best window. Clinton's email's have been replaced by Republican plunders thought out the media and her numbers are bouncing back.

He won't run....he is just milking it. How much money has he raised so far?

I think Biden~Time would make a wonderful President.

I rather hope that Joe doesn't run. He's one of my favorite politicians for a number of reasons, and frankly I'd rather that the vice presidency be his last political gig. I'd very much prefer to remember him as the guy who kept the corruption out of the hundreds of programs that made up the 2009 stimulus and who prompted the President to push further on same-sex marriage rather than as a failed candidate. And really, how do you top that moment when the President was about to announce the passage of the Affordable Care Act and Joe let it all hang out on an open mic?

These are my thoughts as well. End on a high note rather than a third loss.

Exactly. He got beat up pretty badly the other two times he tried. Why put yourself through that again? Besides, his authenticity, which is clearly one of his strengths, would be eaten up in the Twitter world. Eventually, it would be a huge liability because that's the way campaigns go these days: your strengths become your liabilities when your opponents - and the press - decide they do.

CNN Begs Joe Biden To Run For President, Promises Debate Spot And Puppy
http://wonkette.com/594369/cnn-begs-joe-biden-to-run-for-president-promises-debate-spot-and-puppy

CNN announced Monday that it had revised its rules for the first Democratic primary debate so that Old Handsome Joe Biden can participate, if he happens to decide to run for president.

There is no chance at all that CNN is only doing this to fluff its own ratings, or to try to influence Biden’s decision-making process. The network is simply letting the vice president know it will hold a lectern for him at the Wynn Las Vegas, and all the other kids will be there, and there’ll be popcorn and games and a Spin Room. Also, does he really want Hillary and Bernie to be the only interesting people at the party, plus those other three dweebs that CNN’s mom said it had to invite? (Lame. Like anyone wants to even see them.) And CNN certainly doesn’t come off as desperately trying to inject additional drama into the debate, not with a line like this appearing in its own damn story about the new criteria:

"Biden, who has publicly struggled with deciding whether to join the primary, has met the minimum polling threshold for entry into the debate. He would only need to file the necessary paperwork with the Federal Election Commission or declare his intention to do so to appear on stage at the Wynn, according to the criteria."

Yea, that was quite the classy remark.

a check? for a $100 million.......

.........takes exactly the same amount of time to write as a check for a dollar does.

You must understand that lining up donors is a large part of considering a run? Not that I think he will run.

Yes, uh, I understand....that is why I mentioned it

He will not "officially" raise any money for himself as an individual until or unless he declares his candidacy. Right now he can do as he pleases, even with his PAC, once he declares that wall goes up.

Biden should go for it. There's an opening in the field, and I think he could probably do better than any other Democrat in the race. If I were a Republican, I wouldn't want to face him.

But it is risky for this reason: Hillary is not going to be pleased if Biden enters, and he's unofficially made it clear that if she goes down over this or the recent Email business, she'll hurt the WH on the way. Remember, Obama and the Clintons don't exactly have the warmest relationship. It's Obama's Justice Department that is on her ass, not Bush's.

If he knew he could raise the money, he would have declared by now.....he cant, and that is why he isnt running for President.

Where did Biden make that "clear"?

Money is, unfortunately, a huge consideration when running for any office. I disagree with you that it is the major factor weighing on Biden's mind.

Our time reminds me of the late 20s when the Depression took hold and evil roamed the planet.

Our time demands a Hitler and an FDR, and neither exist. Stalin exists in Iran.

With Biden, perhaps not, but its either one or two on his list..... He has other things to consider, one is his health, age, etc. But having the most money doesnt mean you automatically win an election, NOT having it means you aint gonna win very much......

CNN: Biden Calling Strategists in Early Voting States

ABBH Caucus thrilled! :D

Vice President Joe Biden is personally calling Democratic strategists in Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina to talk about a possible run for president, CNN reports.
Biden is asking questions that focus on how to launch a campaign – not whether he should, CNN says.

Biden is telling the strategists that his family is fully behind a campaign, CNN's sources say, because they believe he has the best chance of keeping the White House in Democratic hands. Recent polls show Biden beating theoretical GOP opponents, while current front-runner Hillary Clinton would lose to them if the election were held today.
