it is quite common actually , i know several guys who like to dress ,some cannot for various reasons tell their wives and pop round to my house to dress and relax and a lucky few have their wives support and come to see me together , i dont see any of them very often as they live too far away but we keep in touch , i think it is hardest for the straight guys who have to dress in secret with the fear of being caught and the strain of hiding everything , i am so glad i dont have to struggle like that .

Hi Bluesky, all. Am in the situation described, hetero, but enjoy the CD feelings without desiring to be involved at all in same sex. From my perspective, the only time I would cross dress would be for comedy.
If there was an adult party going on with a crossdressing theme... alright, I can play along.
Perhaps a ridiculous costume for Halloween, sure.
As part of my regular life, though, not at all.
Were I to have a girlfriend who thought it was so sexy that she convinced me to dress like that for her, perhaps then in the privacy of our bedroom.
In my head, a man dressing as a woman is Bugs Bunny or Monty Python style schtick.

I disagree. I think it's a society formed approach. I like the feelings of the different clothes, clothes that society seems to have decided must only be worn by women. I don't fancy men at all, just because I enjoy different clothing does not mean I don't like women - the logic could then suggest all women in trousers must like other women given trousers were a strictly male item for years.
So I enjoy these things in private, and the occasional open minded woman enjoys them with me!

Because society tells them not to… There's no reason why CDs can't be straight or for that matter, derive no 'sexual' pleasure from dressing up, but just like the clothes and the way they look and feel. We can't see inside another person's head to know what their preferences are, so it's certainly not a subject where we can be critical of another people's tastes.
I was never especially into the girly clothes per se, except that are accepted tokens of being female, and that I desperately wanted. Personally I hate the feel of nylons on my skin and wear them grudgingly.

I like this approach. I agree! Its about what it feels like, I am comfortable in a skirt and ballet pumps, occasionally holdups - I like the nylon feel but possibly because its different! Seems to heighten the feelings on the skin....
Society has a lot to answer for... sadly

I've always been straight and that will never change, just sometimes I feel like being girly, ya know?
