How long is it supposed to take for a story to get approved and posted on Literotica? I submitted a story on Sunday and it's still pending approval.

It's been a pretty steady two days. You might recheck to see that it says "pending" and not "rejected." If still pending, you could PM Laurel and ask her if it's fallen in the cracks. I've seen that happen on occasion.

In that time, I've had one approved, one rejected and one where the 'Pending' changed from blue (link) to black making me think it's being reviewed.

The rejected one was edited and resubmitted, so there are about 5 or 6 with 'Pending' in blue.

Hi,

I'm very new here.

I submitted a short story before the weekend and my profile page says I have no submissions. Resubmit?
I followed the guidelines and used the submission form.
Anything I'm doing wrong?

Also i have another one almost ready to go.
I don't want to send it in case it gets lost too.

Thanks!!

sounds like you did something wrong, yes. Did you hit both the "preview" and the "submit" button and then checked right away to see that it registered as pending on your submissions' page?

If the one rejected was one of the earlier chapters then Laurel may be holding things up so she can straighten out the order they post. You did post four stories or chapters but I don't remember which it was.

^^^^^Every word he utters is a damned lie, including AND and THE.

I wrote to Laurel and she said my story wasn't lost but that illustrated stories take longer to approve. Now I just wonder how long it will take.

Yeah I didn't realize that would make such a huge difference.

I'm sure I saw it 'pending', yes.

When I submit illustrated poems or audio poetry through uploading to MyDocs, they can take up to one month to post. I believe that's because they only upload those once a month, and if you've just missed the upload day, your story/poem has to wait till the next time it happens. In my experience, the magic day is roughly between the middle and third week of the month, and it hasn't been exactly the same day every time. I don't know if this is relevant to your story.

Really? Thanks for letting me know! My illustrated story was a part 1 of a six part story, all illustrated! I was originally planning to submit them one at a time, but hearing this, I think I'll reconsider.
