I work with mostly college aged students, for as much technology they have, you would think they could follow simple instructions. It seems like if I need something done I have to describe every step in detail for them to ignore and do there own way. I had one rearrange a storage closet so my inventory would be easier to count. I have this idea I wanted to share with you. Human beings have always separated themselves from nature. But this is obvious fallacy. We were born on this earth and evolved on this earth just like every other organism in the complexly layered ecosystem. So obviously, along with all other life on earth, we, too, must have a place within the ecosystem, an overall purpose to serve in nature.

My theory explains why we were given our'superior' intelligence and tool making/using skills. What if our place within the ecology of our world is as caretakers? Think about it. We are the only animals able to prune and shape plants, to transplant sapling trees to a better location and then replant and nurture them into growth. We are the only species able to protect and care for species in danger of extinction.

We are meant to be the shepherds, the gardeners, the protectors of this earth. That is our role and our place within nature, within the natural order.
