I don't think there is anything you can do about it other than ignore that whole section

The only way you can do that is to put the person who started the thread in your ignore list.

Of course, every thread they've started will also be invisible, as will all of their posts in any other thread.

The texts of posts from those you have on ignore won't show up on a thread, however, you will see that the individual you have on ignore has made a post.

Any and all threads started by someone on your ignore list won't appear though.

It's a minor point, but I though you might want to know.

It would be a nice feature.

There are threads that I have no interest in and I wouldn't mind a "Don't show me this again" button. Ignoring the thread starter works, but then that starter may have other threads that attract interesting posters.

Some people that I would try to avoid having a beer with still start interesting discussions or at least attract argument from posters that are worth reading.

Personally, I get tired of seeing threads called "Do you Prefer Hairy or Bald Muffs?" or "A Straight Guy Who Likes Cocks" or "Daddy Looking for His Little Girl." It's the repetition that gets annoying.
